Perfect place to stay in Sorrento
The hotel staff are excellent, they speak good English and are very helpful. The hotel it self is well maintained and the rooms are very clean and functional. There is a regular free bus service to the town centre so you are only 15 minutes away form the centre of Sorrento. The only downside was the shower was not as powerful as I would have liked however given all the other positives, I would highly recommend this hotel to all my friends. I think is the perfect combination of service and value for money.

PERFECT STAY
The Grand Hotel Aminta is a lovely hotel.It is superbly located at the top of a hill with great viewsof mount vesuvius and the bay of naples.There is a free shuttle bus runs every half hour to sorrento town(free of charge)The hotel is very clean and comfortable and very well run.The food in the hotel is superb its proper waiter service.The staff are all friendly and accomodating.We enjoyed our stay there and would love to visit again we would highly recommend this hotel

Good hotel.
Poor breakfast but good staff and decent medium sized building. Great views and good bus sevice to centre takes about 10 minutes and was bang on time whenever we used it. Picked this hotel as had car. Parking situation not ideal but manageable if you are comfortable with very tight spaces and 5/6 point turns. See google street view if in doubt. Overall would recommend if driving and if price is right.

BEAUTIFUL HOTEL --- GREAT EXPERIENCE
This was our first trip to Sorrento. The front desk staff was very helpful. The hotel upgraded our room when we arrived. We booked a deluxe room with sea view and received a suite because they said they wanted us to have more room with our baby. Amazing gesture, especially when you compare the price of what it would have cost to book the room on our own! It was nice and quiet to be up on the hill with a beautiful view (when the rain clouds weren't blocking) and the shuttle service was very convenient, always on time (within a few minutes) and the driver was very friendly with us and our baby. Breakfast was good, lots of choices. Dinner at the restaurant wasn't amazing but it was easy to get to and it was off-season right before Christmas so they probably didn't have their "A" team so can't fault them for that. For anyone that hasn't lived in Italy for two years, the dinner would probably be just fine. Wine prices were a little outrageous, possibly the most expensive we've seen in Italy. Overall, it was a good experience. Had a run-in with ants, the front desk tried to play it off like it was our fault but we explained that we have lived through two winters in Italy and know not to eat in the rooms and leave anything out so she sent someone up right away (a few hours later) to spray and it seemed to fix the problem. We cut the trip short a day due to weather, the room was pre-paid so there no extra fee to check-out early we just didn't get any kind of refund which was reasonable especially after the free upgrade.

The place to be in Sorrento
Great stay- friendly helpful people and splendid views- large pool and deck area.The rooms are quite large, everything is new and there is a free shuttle bus to town - takes about 10 minutesThere"s a reason this hotel keeps getting very good reviews so it"s well worth staying here.
