A bright and colourful place to stay!
This 4* hotel is attractive and very bright and colourful. The room was a good size, exceptionally well-kept and cleaned daily. I found this aspect of the hotel impressive - there was no dirt or dust in sight. The bathroom was lovely - again a decent size and the bath was quite big; perfect for relaxation. The view from the room was disappointing though. The hotel has a bar, which was nice but was not really busy at night time. This wasn't a problem at all, as me and my boyfriend made use of the public transport to get into town. We took the '63' bus, which runs up until midnight. Bus tickets cost 1 euro 50 and can be bought just around the corner from the hotel or in fact in town at most tobacco stores. There was a bus stop located 150m from the hotel, so not far at all. The bus really is easy to use and you can get into town in 15 minutes. The busses are busy so maybe don't use them if you are claustrophobic. We did travel during the Easter holidays though, so I suspect that this could have been a contributing factor. On Saturday night, we wanted to be in town quickly so we took a taxi to the Spanish Steps. Contrary to expectation, the taxi only cost 8 euros and perhaps this is because we flagged it down on the street, rather than booking through the hotel, which uses private cars.Friendliness of the staff: the staff working in the restaurant were excellent, extremely nice and the 'friendly faces' of the hotel. (I must add that for ten euros, the breakfast was delicious and good value.) The coffee was simply fantastic and the chocolate croissants - YUM! The reception staff were fine - one gentleman was very nice - he gave a lot of advice and help about the public transport. I do think that the hotel could improve though if the rest of the staff on the front desk were more personable and friendly. The hotel is located approximately 45 minutes from the Fiumicino Airport. On arrival, we made our way to the hotel using busses. This wasn't great, as we didn't know where we were going really and the central bus station is quite busy, especially from the point of view of the foreign tourist. On the way home, we flagged down a taxi on the street, which cost 53 euros. Note - the hotel charges 55 euros for this journey. All in all, a lovely stay.

Excellent hotel
My husband and I checked out this morning, having spent 3 nights there (it was our wedding anniversary). We couldn't fault it - the room was clean (and quiet), all of the staff were extremely pleasant & helpful (particularly the young man who brought our hire car up to ground level from the basement car park this morning - if you've stayed there with a car you'll know how difficult this manoeuvre can be!) and the room service was excellent. And yes, after reading other comments, the hotel is a bit of a 'hike' from the main attractions, but we took advantage of the tour bus that stopped about a mile away, and because the hotel doesn't offer a fully serviced evening restaurant this gave us the opportunity to try different restaurants on our walk back each evening. We are annual visitors to Italy and this is our third visit to Rome and would highly recommend this hotel.

NIce but not for tourists
We booked 3 extra nights as our tour had picked it as start point of 14 day Italian tour. Hotel and service were very good but we had to take bus and taxis everywhere as we were so far North. We did walk to Villa Borghese and the Spanish steps. We took advantage of ROMA PASS for 3 days of bus and metro experience. They had expensive WIFI charges. Better to walk out front, turn left two blocks to ViaPo where you will fine Pasquarelli's Coffee Shop abd bakery. Great local atmosphere, friendly service and FREE WIFI.

OK, but nothing special
I spent one night in this hotel on a business trip to Rome.I had dinner, slept there, had breakfast and I must say I was not overly impressed.Dinner is basically non-existent: it's basically a lounge bar managed by a nice and helpful gentleman, but with very little to offer. I had a decent club sandwich, paying 10 Euros for it though. My room was not satisfying: the TV was not working well, I had a single bed, the room was very light at dawn (only light curtains, no blinds), the shower extremely weak.Breakfast is on par with many hotels in Rome - unfortunately, I would add.All in all, not a memorable experience.

Very unhelpful staff
This hotel is really to far out for a holiday in Rome, we don't mind walking but it was really to far to any of the sights, we also used the bus so managed ok. The hotel it is vey nice good decor and clean decent sized rooms. The downside is the staff, unhelpful to say the least, when we asked for a street map they said they didn't have one! Our first evening we returned early (tired after all the walking)to find the hotel bar shut, it was only about 10 pm. Asked at reception and the receptionist and porter shrugged there shoulders and laughed. I tried to order a cup of tea to take to my room but no luck they couldn't offer anything!! A hotel with no service., no tea making in the rooms either. No chance of a lie in even if you want one as the cleaners are as bad as the reception staff they shout and clang equipment very loudly to get people up and out of the rooms so they can clean them this started at 7.00am both mornings.Someone or a group must own this hotel and it is being spoilt by the staff, what a shame. The don't deserve to be in jobs if there customer service is so bad.Very disappointing.
