To put it simply: do not stay here. Originally, I did not want to stay here. I was traveling with my brother who had spent a few nights at this hotel on a previous trip to New York. I will never let him make this sort of decision again, because this was honestly the worst hotels I've stayed in.Just to get the positives out of the way, I will admit that there were some nice aspects to this hotel. First of all, it is very close to the airport. A shuttle can pick you up (and drop you off) for free within five minutes. Despite the proximity to La Guardia, there isn't much noise from the planes heard in the rooms.The complimentary breakfast was okay. There was a choice of pastries, cereal, fruit, and hard boiled eggs (yes ONLY hard boiled eggs). The dining area was small, but never got overly crowded. Overall the food was decent, but that's all you really need.Other than those two things there is nothing else about the hotel that was any good. They had apparently renovated recently, but only the lobby looks clean and new. The elevator you take to your floors is very slow and old, the hallways all smell strongly of cigarettes despite this being a smoke free building, and while there are only three stories to the building each one has around 60 rooms. The hall my brother and I walked down to get to our room was full of slants and slumps and felt as if it were designed by PeeWee Herman.The rooms themselves were tiny little shoe boxes. You open the door and practically knock into the foot of the bed. The bathroom wasn't much better and the towels were gross. As a rule, I usually travel with a towel, but due to certain conditions, I couldn't. I will never leave my own towel at home again as this hotel's were disgusting. One of the towels was grey and a few had stains on them, so drying off after a shower made me feel unclean.The beds were also very hard. I don't like sleeping on firm mattresses, so I was very uncomfortable. The pillows (a combo of down and cotton) were hard as rocks and stank. I would wake up in the morning and still have the odor clinging to my hair.The doors weren't very sound proof (ironically) and someone moving around the halls can be heard very clearly. We had a family with small children staying on the same floor running around making a great deal of noise. They kept shouting at each other and slamming doors. I called the front desk about this one night and they said they would send up security to check it out. They didn't.Once again, do not stay at this hotel. The price I paid was absolutely not worth the location. If you want something close to the airport, look somewhere else. Pay the extra money. Anything would be better!

A nice choice if you have an early flight from La Guardia. The location is perfect, just across the highway only a five minute shuttle bus ride. Heck, you could walk if you wanted. The rooms were clean and modernized. Very small, as one would expect in an NYC hotel. check in went quickly. we booked the stay, park and fly package and it was an excellent deal. Breakfast was only meh, but it was free. The only complaint was there was a funky step (or rather door step) into the bathroom and that could have caused a serious stubbed toe. thumbs up on this one.

We arrived from Sydney via LA so wanted somewhere just for the night so it was very convenient to the airport. Free shuttle was good but only goes every half hour so make sure you check the times. The room was large with ensuite, free wi-fi but just an average hotel room, nothing outstanding. Continental breakfast was included and that was decent. Not much around if you prefer to go out and eat, there is a bar and the restaurant but not much choice for a vegetarian and not really cheap menu. We booked it through Expedia and it cost $124 AU for two of us with breakfast and free shuttle makes it good value.

We were stranded at the airport due to aflight cancelation. Airline booked us at this hotel. the entrance is OK but the halways are mustyu with dirty carpets. Room was the smallest I ever saw. Bathroom was clean. the biggest drwaback is the noise from the airport. the windows do not seal off any of the noise. If you want a sleepless night this is the palce to go. breakfast was good. Wifi did not work when i called reception no one answered even after repeated retries.

According to my flight attendant sister, Clarions can be iffy. So it was with trepidation that we stayed at the Clarion near Laguardia. We had a very nice stay. Room 208 (king) overlooks the parking lot but is very near an emergency exit and the elevator. It was clean and on the smallish side and was in mostly good condition. Breakfast was included which was great if you're a carb lover. Refrigerator and microwave in the room was a really nice feature. Had to open the window as the room was too warm and it just doesn't feel right to turn on a very noisy air conditioner in February. Shuttles bring you to the airport on the hour and half-hour. Would stay again. A Travelocity offer made this too good to pass up. If you have a car, reserve parking ahead. People in the hotel can park for $9 a day. We were the last lucky hotel guest to get a spot on a Saturday.
