The hotel is in the suburb of Barcelona with very good transport links, if you are visiting the city you will take some time to commute but the hotel has comfortable rooms close to a huge shopping centre Grand Via 2. Caring and friendly staff certainly make this hotel a good place. Thanks to Marta and Suzzana.

This is a pleasant hotel with modern d¿¿cor within walking distance of the conference hotel. Staff were pleasant. Only criticism is that there is no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms - thought there would be as it is a Marriott hotel

Stayed two nights at this hotel. Overall a very good experience. Aesthetically the hotel is very pleasing on the eye. Staff were very helpful and explained to us on our arrival that there was a metro station 2 minutes away which was 2 stops away from a central metro station. 5 minutes to get to the center of Barcelona. I was very impressed with the Barcelona transport.Slightly annoying that wi-fi wasn't available in the room, as we had stayed in an Ibis in Perpignan for three nights prior which had free wi-fi in the room. Not much too ask nowadays.Fitness room wasn't the best either, 1 running machine, 1 bike and a weights bench.There was a door in our room that linked to next doors room. Not quite sure why this was there, but it wasn't a problem anyway.Didn't eat breakfast there so can't comment but it looked decent enough.For those complaining that the transport/location isn't ideal for the center of Barcelona I would disagree. The local metro station (Ildefons Cerda) is 2 stops away from Espanya station which connects to two major lines that lead to most places in Barcelona.I would recommend this hotel. However I would recommend going into town for food, there wasn't much choice in the nearby shopping mall.

We stayed in this hotel in March 2013. It is ok but not at the top standards of Marriott. The internet for a fee is not adequate, skip it use the hotspot in the lobby. It is too far from downtown to suit me. the breakfast is good but overpriced at $16.50 euros. It is a good value for your money if you know your way around, not a good location for a tourist. Would not stay here again.

We stayed one night recently at this hotel. As a hotel, it is perfectly adequate, albeit not fancy. Its biggest drawback is if you are in Barcelona as a tourist, as we were. Getting into town requires two different subways (one which is not frequent) or a subway and a bus. That makes it very impractical if you wish to return to your hotel, say, before dinner or to have a rest in the afternoon. Once you do get to this hotel, there is no real dining option within walking distance of it. Yes, there is a huge shopping mall nearby and, yes, the mall has many fast-food options and a couple of sit-down options that border on fast food. But there is no fine dining (or even close to it) option. We didn't even see a tapas bar at the mall.So, overall, you are left with a hotel in a decidedly residential area, with numerous large office buildings fairly close nearby. If your trip is for business, and your business is near this hotel, it will work fine and at a lower cost than the hotels in town. But if you are going to be seeing the sights of Barcelona, you will either use up any savings on taxis or you will spend too much of your time going into town and then returning.
