Lovely hotel with easy access to Barcelona
Having previously stayed in very expensive, very poor hotel accommodation in Barcelona for the MWC I opted to try a hotel outside Barcelona this year. Sitges is located about 30km from the Barcelona conference centre and it's motorway pretty much from door to door so it looked like a reasonable option. We arrived at the Estela Barcelona 30 minutes after leaving the exhibition centre to find a relatively modern, well presented hotel with an artistic twist. The location beside the seafront with the beach and the marina was great and the accommodation was to a good standard with comfortable bed, kitchenette and great sea view. Food was good and service friendly. It's the sort of place I'd be happy to revisit.

A museum for an art lover
I had a review raving about this place from Oct 2010 that disappeared and decided to put it back on. I had a WONDERFUL visit there. There was great art everywhere. My room was a Paco Duran and amazing--every surface--even the ceiling was a masterpiece. The map was wrong--it was located over a mile from the promenade but had a beautiful beach just next to it. Every where you looked there was amazing art....even the coatrack in the restaurant. I adored Sitges--it was an easy Metro ride from Barcelona and the people were friendly and it was manageable post-cruise when I just wanted to relax on the beach. Just watch the water--it was not drank even by the locals.

Hotel del Arte Bar and Reception
This establishment is just outside the entrance to Aiguadolc, Port de Sitges Marina. It has limited hotel parking infront and there is a public pay and display CarPark just opposite. Sitges may be a fair step the long way round but there recently has been a shorter connection by foot through the Marina past the many and varied Bars and Restaurants. Could be a pleasant stroll. The Hotel Public Areas are fascinating with some interesting art on the walls.The Bar Service was Prompt and efficient. The Barkeep was quiety good at his job.The Product range showed a variety of cocktails, beverages and food available and listed at the table. The prices were low - Copa de Cava 2.25 ¿¿¿, Copa de Vino - good wines poured at the table - 2.25 ¿¿¿. It is not every establishment around Sitges that pours wine at the table - as they should - nor every where that displays the prices as they must.We only checked out the Bar, Dining and Reception areas and were quite impressed,if the Hotel and all its facilities matches the public areas, we think it would be a good place to stay.

Quiet and a very good location for the nearby beach.
The hotel is a good 30 minutes walk from the centre of Sitges. Having stayed in Sitges before, I wondered if this might be too far out. In fact, it was much more relaxing to stay here and walk into the centre to eat and drink. (There are a number of local restaurants just 2 minutes walk away at the marina.)The hotel room was very big, with unique art work and a largish balcony. The bed was very big and comfortable. Rooms were tidied and cleaned each day. There is a small sandy beach just opposite, and never too crowded, even at the weekend. Loungers were easy to hire, and much easier than the beaches nearer the centre which, irritatingly, seemed to have towels on all the loungers early even with no one around !Breakfasts are reasonable in value (10 euro) and a fair variety to choose from.

Lovely location
We had a lovely room with a sea view which we did not expect,the staff were very helpful,the hotel is located a bit out of the centre right next to port sitges but was away from all the hustle and busle which was good,recommended.
