the hotel is very good food is really nice . I have to say a bit noisy at night but having said that we all slept well. As i booked up myself would have been good for more information about trips etc.staff very friendly

The hotel is a really nice hotel very clean and the entertainment were very good we stayed from may 29th till 7th June. But the main let down was the food it was disgusting i lived on egg on toast and bread rolls for most of the stay everything was dripping in oil there was no choice for the kids my 5 year old daughter lived of fruit and jelly. And the price of drinks was terrible 5 Euro for a Malibu they have a happy hour at 23.30 till 00.30 when the entertainment finishes and when you have kids its to late the pool area is clean salou though is a really nice place with plenty going on we went to the robin hood in the evenings which was fantastic would go salou again but not to this hotel. if taking young children with you please take extra money with you to buy their food elsewhere every family i talked to said the same

I am visiting in July with my boyfriend and another couple and would love to know what the night life is like? Looking for some good cocktail bars and cheap but good restaurants as we are room only... Also do the rooms have a fridge and tea making facilities?

This Hotel has good points and bad points. On one hand the hotel itself is spotlessly clean, the rooms are well kept, the cleaners work extremely hard and the pool area is clean and tidy. However these good points are far outweighed by the bad points that mainly revolve around the restaurant and food. The plates, glasses and cutlery where often dirty, the table covers were not changed between guests, the plates were not cleared and we had to wait on numerous occasions for cups and glasses. The food itself was a massive let down as the quality and variety was atrocious. We as a family found very little that we could eat let alone enjoy, the old banker pasta was even ruined by having only tomato soup to pour on it as a sauce. The breakfast was dismal and in the end we gave up and just had toast, we swapped our dinner for lunch in the hope that it would bring more simple food that was harder to ruin but unfortunately they even managed to fail at laying on simple pasta and cheeses. The bread rolls tasted like they had been baked last week, it really was very bad. The frustrating thing about this is that it takes just as much effort to do things badly as it does to do things well it just takes a bit of thought and care. I have stayed in 3 star hotels which were a world apart from this place when it comes to the quality of the food they served. I would recommend this hotel to people who want a holiday base and eat elsewhere, don't waste your money on half or full board.

Me and my boyfriend stayed in this hotel at the end of June 2011. The staff were friendly and the hotel was very clean. The maids came around each morning to clean and change the towels. There was also a safe in the room which was very handy. We had a room overlooking the pool which was beautiful in the morning. There is also entertainment every night out on a stage by the pool. This hotel is family friendly also as there were a lot of families around.The children all seemed to really enjoy the kids club aswell. There is plenty of sunloungers by the pool also. The hotel is very clean inside and out.While we were there, a ladies handbag got snatched off her shoulder while she was standing in reception, this made me feel quite unsafe in the hotel knowing that this had happened in the lobby in front of staff. The person who stole the handbag seemed to have escaped without being caught. Food: We were half board and the breakfast in the morning was good as there was a large selection to choose from. However at night time the food was dissapointing. However we did find after choosing to eat in the restaurants in the town on 2 occasion the food was also not very good, so we choose to eat in hotel the rest of the time.The hotel i found was a little distance outside of the strip which would suit families who arent going to be out late at night. However, i personally found it unsafe to walk home after a night out in the town as the streets were quite and not well lit up. The hotel is within walking distance of portaventura which is a great day out. I would recommmend getting the fast pass in portaventura as the queues can be very long for the bigger rides and each time we were able to get on the rides without waiting at all. The bus provides a bus into the town at different towns each day which is also a bonus. I would recommend this hotel, as it was very clean and family friendly, however i would not recommend Salou as the town itself is run down and tacky looking. I would recommend going to a lovely Irish bar called Danny Boys where they serve good food and good live entertainment and have lovely staff.
