To save your time let me summarise my experience into bullet points:Pros:- The Food: Don't get me wrong it is not gourmet! but if you compare it to what you normally get in an all inclusive/half board hotel, it is exceptionally good. The variety is a bit limited hence they managed to cook better quality food.- Facilites : The hotel does have two pools, average sized compare to the size of the hotel, but they have a hot water pool and sauna as well which is quite lovely especially if you you in colder times of the year. They have gym and billiard tables as well, although I think you'll never get bored enough in Mallorca to play!- Location: It is wonderfully close to everything, it is less than 5 minute walk to the beach, shopping centers and bus stops. - Staff : Here's the thing! The staff of really helpful, though you might have a bit of trouble if you want to speak english! The reason is apparently this part of Mallorca is a German main holiday destination, so most of the staff (and the people) are more used to speak German rather than English.Cons:- Beds: They are not really comfortable as they should be, we asked for a double bedroom but we got a twin ( two beds put together ).- Thin walls : Just hope no to get a noisy neighbour as the wall are not soundproofed, you'll almost hear everything! - No Free Drinks: If you opt not to get all inclusive, you'll have to pay for any sort of drinks even water, they are not really expensive but could be nice if they would provide some drinks for free. >> Typical Food examples: Breakfast: Full english breakfast, probiotic yogurt, fruit juice, tea. coffee, salamis and sausages, cakes and muffins etc. Dinner: Fish, paella, pasta, pork, meat balls, chicken wings, chicken nuggets, fish nuggets, vegetable rice etc.Dessert: Sweets, cakes, cream caramel, ice cream, fruits, rice purridge etc.>>>TIPS:- To get to the palma city, get bus number 25 (stop is in the street opposite to the hotel ) and drop off the last stop. - The palma cathedral is a must see. - Try to get a excursion to the north of the island as it is unbelievably beautiful.

This hotel was probably nice twenty years ago. Service:Check-in was polite, even friendly, but afterwards we weren't treated in a friendly manner very often at all. The service in the buffet restaurant was slow and not exactly the friendliest service I've ever had.I asked for an extra pillow and blanket because our room was cold (heating didn't work), and the pillow provided was too flat and very uncomfortable. The same person at reception who was friendly on the first day rolled his eyes and made a comment like "Good luck with getting an extra pillow." I never got the pillow. The food:You're better off not paying for half board at this hotel. The evening meal was the worst I've had on Mallorca, The buffet is small. The salad bar is quite large in comparison but limited in variety. Iceberg lettuce is very popular in Spain. Unimpressive to say the least. Breakfast was OK, actually. The coffee machine was fast. Sometimes these coffee machines in these tourist hotels can cause queues of impatient tourists, waiting for their morning (really bad) coffee. The coffee isn't good, but at least it's fast. Decor:The hotel looks like it hasn't been renovated in decades. Worn carpet, old plumbing, lifts that jolt when they stop (we all laugh but also wonder if we're going to plummet to the bottom of the elevator shaft). .

Hotel was okay, same problem like other hotels with double bed. They just put two beds together and these beds will be running from each other all night long, very uncomfortable beds. Room location was nice so we had a nice view. Toilet was nice. We stayed in standard bed room and it was written that we will have a couch but nothing was there. No fridge in room, a tiny little TV but who cares about it. Reception was nice. The best thing was breakfast buffet, it was awesome. Location of hotel is perfect since its near to beach. Buss number 21 goes directly from airport to the hotel there are many stops nearby but nearest one is H. Leman. The are of this hotel is Playa de Palma. If you are coming in Sunday then you might have to take bus 15 till you reach a bus stop where you can take 21. The best deal was to get a bike on rent for whole day in 5 Euros. We took bikes and went to city center, very nice views and nice bike. Whole town has very strict police security during day and even bike tracks are being watched by biker police. There is a shop on main street near beach named Aladin, they have best big meal and deals. There are many clubs and bars but few of them are English friendly, everything is Spanish or Dutch. Buy alcohol from supermarkets they have cheaper deals and some of them have it in fridge with same price. Since I have been a very good observer so I observed two guys were checking pockets of drunk people on street, although security is tight during morning but during night it is not and you have to be sharp and not too much drunk with valuable stuff.

We have just spent the Easter break at the Maria Isabel,it was our 3rd visit over the past 5 years.The exterior of the hotel needs a little TLC but the rooms are fine,clean and the housekeeping staff are excellent with fresh linen every other day.Sound proofing would help as noisy neighbours can be intrusive but a word with reception or a bang on the wall usually works.Hey it`s a holiday hotel!Breakfast is fantastic,hot selection,fruit,cereals,cold meats,cheese,pastries everything you want and as much as you can eat.Reception is excellent with English speaking staff!!!!!The location of the hotel in the German occupied part of Majorca is why we go,2 country`s for the price of 1,we love the novelty of bratwurst,schnitzel and Warsteiner in the Mallorcan sunshine,it`s like Berlin on Sea and the great part is the German`s in the bars and resteraunts can`t figure out why your there,they think you`re lost!Fantastic.I would like to refer to a previous reviewer who complained about the lack of English spoken,if you make any kind of effort to speak a few words of Spanish or German you`ll be answered in English and a smile and the odd `gracias`works well too.If you want English go to Magaluf!This place is real value for money,we love it!Berlin on Sea-Terrific.

I spent a week at Maria Isabel hotel and found it a lovely hotel. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, speaking Spanish, English, German, possibly more. The hotel is very clean. I stayed half board and the buffet meals were good - each selection was labeled in English, German, French and Spanish. The location of the hotel is excellent - 3 minute walk from the beach, cafes, bars, restaurants, etc. Bus close by - only ¿¿¿1.50 to Palma City. I will definitely go back to stay again at Maria Isabel.
