From the airport we took the train to town, you have to get off before the last stop (Malaga Central) but even if you do it is still close enough to walk to the hotel. If you decide to take the bus instead from the airport. the bus depot is located just next to the train station too.It is also very conveniently located, just 5 min. walk to the pick up site for your day trips that you might have booked with Viators for Seville, Alhambra/Granada or Morocco/Tangier......by the way Alhambra is NOT to be missed, you certainly can SKIP Tangier if you do not want to be harassed by vendors.walking distance to city center about 10 mins. Rooms were clean , bed was a bit hard, staff was very helpful, free WiFi, the only negative was that the air conditioning was not working well. I would stay there again if I am back in Malaga.

Good location, fantastic breakfast
We stayed here two nights, 'bookends' for a Moroccan trip. I would have to say that my opinion of the place on the first night was lower than that of the second, and I do wonder how much of that was due to the disastrous hotels we stayed in in Morocco.Anyway, the hotel is certainly 4 star and is worthy of a four star hotel. The rooms are of better quality than the common areas. The noise we did get came from the corridors which was a little frustrating. Service was good without being exceptional. Car Parking was expensive, 18 Euro per day does seem out of kilter with the cost of most other things in Malaga.Final word goes to the breakfast - Outstanding selection and all of the highest quality and presentation. One of the best breakfasts I have ever had (and I do travel a lot for business). Possibly worth staying for the breakfast alone.

Great location and price
I selected this hotel for its proximity to shopping, city center and the airport. I had rental car and wanted a location that provided an easy drive to the airport for our early flight - this was the perfect choice, and the price was right. We were given a room on the 3rd floor. The hotel is part of a very large, modern indoor mall, that includes a big variety of stores, restaurants, cafes, theaters, grocery store, and entertainment facilities. Free wifi was included in our room, and connection and speeds were very respectable. Rooms are standard size, and the bathrooms were very nice. The hotel does not have parking, but they have a "special" arrangement with the mall's parking facility. Once the clerk explained how the parking works, we planned our shopping around the parking system. If you make a purchase of 6euros or more, you automatically get 3hrs of "free parking" - we had lunch there, so that qualified us. At the end of 3 hours we drove to downtown Malaga, and later returned to the mall, purchased a new scarf for my wife, which qualified for another 3hrs of free parking. At the end of that period, it was already past 8pm, and street parking was free till 9am the next day, so I was able to park in front of the hotel, and spared from wasting 18euros for hotel parking. If you book online, you get a voucher for 10euros, which allows you to consume anything in the room minibar, up to 10euros. You must print the voucher when checking into the hotel - its not automatic. I would not hesitate to return. This hotel was a great choice, and it was cheaper and far better than the newish Holiday Inn we stayed at a couple of years ago at the last exit next to the airport.

Good service, great breakfast
I was in Tryp alameda hotel for 6 nights (Single) at the end of March 2013.Hotel is few mins walk to Main train and bus stations, next to a shopping mall. City center is 10-15 mins walk.Service was good, all staff were very friendly and helpful. GYM is not really GYM though. WIFI worked well in all areas in the hotel!Room was big and clean, safe in the room, no coffee maker in the room... big and clean bath.Breakfast was very good with lot to choose from (and im Vegetarian!), cut cheese, scrambled eggs, lot of Fruits and pastries, good coffee (Machine), cakes, cookies, Yogurt and more... only thing were missing are Vegetables! friendly staff.I Felt welcome in hotel...

Easter Break
Good hotel,clean comfortable and modern, close to bus and train stations but a good 15 min walk to city centre. We found the walk easy but not so good having to negotiate all the road works which seem to have been going on for ages. Reception staff were cheerful and helpful, and sent ice up to our room when my husband trapped his hand in the revolving door. Malaga is a lovely city and the new Marina is lovely, well worth a visit.
