First time to Spain as me an my boyfriend booked a last minute deal, the hotel was very nice I we found that it was very family friendly at night the entertainment was good for the children sometimes found the entertainments for the adults was a bit boring.Me And my boyfriend are both 21 and we wanted a chilled holiday.. We didn't have a problem with noice from other quests and there was a mix of all ages from old to young very friend atmosphere a lot of chatting going on. The food was nice and I think it catered for every 1 the mixture was just right and a lot of choice.I do think that the people who work behind check in and also the bar staff can be very rude and sometimes were rude when asking them questions! The hairdryers in the room were the most shocking things I have ever seen.. However there were a couple of staff who were extremely pleasant. The pool is quite shade so it's cold but the kids pool heats up fast and there so many loungers for you to get a good tan,I think if you were looking for a layback atmosphere for yourself and partner or your family this is a nice environment, I do suggest though u ask to be ur n a room n the pool side it will stop the noice from the 2 bars and road at the front of the hotel and coaches stop there all the time I will recommend this venue, just have to ignore the rudeness of the staff!

3 Star Hotel by nice beach english run shops opposite.Food o/k but similiar each day,Staff polite& friendly,except some bar staff.Hotel kept very clean every where.Our room spacious nice viewsmall old t.v. high up deposit needed for remote control with bbc1 & bbc 2.Downside very very noisy at night even on our 5 th floor suit younger folk,could not get a good nights sleep during stay.Even though all inc. Could not get a drink free in dinning room or on 7th floor terrace ,had to go down to bar in lounge/pool area at lunch and evening meals.No drinking water either.On a coach party would not go there again.

stayed last week,the place is clean the food ok entertainment poor they however do put on entertainment for children,i spoke to one of the staff a very nice girl who told me that they only had a small budget for entertainment,the cleaning staff friendly,the security staff at night very good as we had a problem with some guys next door trying to sing,fight and knock down the walls at 4 am,i went down to the security and sorted with no fuss, the hotel is good for familys, and good value all the staff are helpful, except 2 male members of the reception,as they treat guests with contempt, try to leave you standing,they need training,they have all the charms of a hammer ,if i had small children i would stay here again,but be ready for the fight at reception if those 2 members of staff are on ,they let the hotel and guests down.

Awful holiday never again. full of drunk lads screaming at night running down the corridors,staff are rude and the food is at bog standard and cold also the pool is in the shade so it was freezing and they have the SAME choice of food EVERY night!

Upon arriving at the H Top Royal Beach Hotel we were greeted with a resonable sized queue at reception, but only one member of staff working behind the desk. This, in turn, took approx. 45 minutes to check in. Usually when i've been to 4 star hotels there is some sort of porter/bellhop service to assist you to your room, not in this case, so we were left to explore our way to our room.The first thought when entering the room was David Dickinson could have a field day, the decor was very old. However, the rooms were very clean and the bathroom was spotless. The beds were very hard (other people may have had different mattresses) and this made sleeping rather hard. If you want to use the TV without the remote then you can easily turn it on my pressing the channel up/down buttons on the front of the unit, you can't change the volume though.The cleaners were pretty useless. I dropped a crisp on the floor and it was still there 2 days later surrounded by the fluff and dust that had been collecting. Without going into details, the toilet was not cleaned for a few days either which was quite disgusting. But the bed linen was changed every day. Anybody looking to use the wifi service, we were on the 2nd floor and the signal would come and go very quickly which made it quite annoying, i found the bathroom was the place that had the best reception.The main bar in the entertainment hall was very useful during the day when there was no queue, but during the evening it decended into a circus show. At one point there was a queue of approx. 15 people, 5 staff behind the bar and only 2 serving. This made getting a drink a waste of time, especially when the glasses resembled test tubes and were finished within 15 minutes. Food in the restaurant was horrendous. Breakfast consisted of stale croissants, cornflakes that are not cornflakes, bacon that wasn't bacon, smoked frankfurter sausages, fried bread, fried eggs, beans and other concoctions seen in a nuclear laboratory. Dinner didn't offer anything better, it was like being back in Britain. Chips, onion rings, a fish dish, a pork dish and other selections that tasted awful. Where was the Spanish food? We are in Spain after all!The town centre area of Lloret was a wash of Western fast food joints, nightclubs and Indian owned tacky souvenir shops. There are some hidden gems however. Opposite the hotel itself, there is Roxy's bar and restaurant, very friendly staff who remember your face and what you drink making it very easy to order. They offer a wide selection of food and pizzas to eat in or takeaway. The Queen Vic is a English themed bar with a big outdoor space and a very big outdoor tv, useful for any English sports you may want to watch. And the Orient Express on the sea front offers beautiful food with glorious views of the beach.Anyone who fancies a day out, then Barcelona is accessible by first getting the bus to Blanes train station, and then a train from Blanes or Barcelona. Tickets are 12 euros for a return, and the ticket machine has the option of changing the language making it very easy to use.I would never return to Lloret, although the town of Tossa de Mar was even worse!
