Ok for a one night stay!
We booked into this hotel as it is near Sant station and we were going off the following day to Lleida on the train. We had booked double rooms, but when we got there at around 2 pm (checkout is at 12 noon), we were told that our rooms were not ready and instead we could have twin rooms instead, which we did. (although reading Mcchoychai's review, maybe they just don't have any double rooms??)The rooms were very large indeed. My bathroom had an array of "freebies", including toiletries, bathrobe and slippers, but my friend's room didn't have any of them! I accosted a cleaner, who gave her some toiletries, but no bathrobe or slippers. My friend also had patches of mould in her bathroom!The staff at reception were helpful and gave us a map of the city, of the Metro and a guide to the best sights to see.Sadly, I barely slept that night, as the room was SO hot! There was heating but no air conditioning, as Richard C mentions in his review. When I queried this at Reception the next morning, I was told that the roooms were still on winter settings and it took a few days to get the summer settings going. A few days later it was 26C ++ in Barcelona, so I pity anyone staying there on those days!The breakfast was the usual buffet, more than adequate.The hotel was close to the Metro and mainline stations, so was convenient in that respect but I would not choose to stay there again for any length of time.The hotel we then went onto stay in in Lleida had the same number of stars, but was cheaper and of a superior quality.

A bit deceiving!
Booked this hotel last minute, saw he hotel in the distance as we were in the taxi driving to the hotel and thought it looked like a old block of flats, then my mind changed when we got into the lobby it was quite modern, checked in and got to our room and found out it was a twin bed room when we requested a double the room was tiny and you could just about walk past the bed to get to the balcony doors.the rooms are very dated but clean. The location of this hotel was great which made up for the dated rooms, it is close to all attractions and safe to walk around nearby streets, it is located next to sant station which is very handy. The room was adequate for the money. If you are a light sleeper this may not be the hotel for you as you can hear everyone walking on all floors. Great location, and value if you just want somewhere to get your head down..

Bad experience, not recommended
Far from the metro station, not same as the description in lastminute.com. Book a double bed for the staff insisted double bed = 2 single beds and there is no room with 1 big bed. Staff Poor knowledge and not willing to help. And lastly, poor english and difficult to communicate. Not recommend for tourist.

Cheap but understandable why....
The hotel is well located right next to sants station which is why i booked a 1 night stay for the recent champions league game between Barcelona and Bayern Munich. From the outside the hotel looks lovely and modern and the reception area is air conditioned and also neatly and modernly decorated. HOWEVER, When you get into the rooms they are old, dated and have no air con at all. the heating/air con system in our room had two settings. HOT AND HOTTER! couldn't even turn it off. The rooms are noisy and you can hear everything. The hotel is in desperate need of modernisation. Basically i wouldn't stop at this hotel again and if i'd have been staying for more than 1 night then i would have complained as because of the heat, the noise from the heater and the other rooms i basically didn't sleep a wink. The safe is not free you have to pay which is something i'm not used to either. BUT, you do get what you pay for so if i was someone staying for a few nights and not going for the cheapest available then i most certainly wouldn't stay here again.

Very nice hotel
This was my second time staying at the hotel, and if I travel again to Barcelona I would stay at the same hotel because is near downtown, across the street from the metro station, nice and comfortable rooms, not problem with noise, very clean.
