We slept there for 2 nights and we where very disappointing, the rooms are not 4 stars quality, the room service isn't functioning as well but the worst thing was the service from the main desk, very rude not helpful (Charging us money for an emergency call that we had to do)

My husband and I recently stayed here for 4 nights. We were not overly happy with this hotel. Our room was fine in size but next door to the cleaners room so was very noisy early in the morning. Walls are extremely thin, we could hear the room next door flush their toilet and have a shower! Woken early every morning by noise. We had a window but no view. We looked directly at a brick wall. Rooms are very dark. No natural light. And a million light switches that took forever to work out which switch turned off which lights. We had no wi fi service in our room!!!! Had to sit at reception to use Internet! Bed linen and towels are quite old, our sheets had some worn holes! And bathroom towels were very thin. Also our air con didn't work properly. The location of this hotel is awesome & the staff are great but that's all I can say about this hotel. Unfortunately you could Definetly find better!!

Just returned from a 4 day trip to Barcelona where we stayed in the BHC. We used the aerobus to get from the airport to the city, which was ten euros for a return (valid for 7 days). This dropped us off at catalunya, a square at the top of Las Ramblas. The hotel was extremely easy to find, but you will need a good street map for your trip, total necessity to get around and not get lost. After reading some reviews prior to leaving the UK we were quite dubious as to whether or not we had made the right decision of hotel. Needless to say, we couldnt have asked for anything better! The hotel is in a brilliant location on via laietana in the gothic quarter of barcelona, a short stroll to port vell where there are multiple, beautiful seafood restaurants overlooking the marina and about a ten minute walk to las ramblas, the main street in barcelona. We stayed on the 4th floor, overlooking the street. The hotel smelled beautifully clean on arrival, which is always a good sign! Im not sure if it has recently been redecorated and modernised, but everything in our room looked new. The shower was amazing, and the beds were lovely and comfortable. Although in our experience, after walking about 10+ miles per day round the city and consuming a few sangrias, we could have slept on a washing line! Yes, theres some traffic noise, but at the end of the day you are in a city, you wouldnt have silence if you were in the centre of London so if you want that, stay outside of the city. We were room only so cant comment on the breakfast, however we had breakfast each morning in a small cafe on the marina where it was 3 euros for a coffee and a chocolate croissant (amazing).WIFI was free and if you ask at reception, they provide some log on details that are valid for a week, not 6 hours as someone previously commented. The safe if 2 euros per day to use, but obviously a necessity to keep your belongings safe.Barcelona is notorious for its pickpockets and we did have a slight encounter with one going into the metro. Luckily, i noticed the woman reaching into my friends handbag and pushed her away (bit daft now i think about it, but at the time i was in a bit of a flap!). So ladies, take a good handbag that you can keep on the front of your body. We were also warned about walking through the back streets of the gothic quarter at night as this is where most pickpockets operate in gangs, so if you are walking back to the hotel, take the main roads. Would just like to mention as well a place called the harlem jazz club. We went here one night and it was absolutely amazing, and its located pretty much a 5 minute walk from the hotel, well worth a visit! Also, venture into the back streets for the best restaurants. Las Ramblas is an amazing place however the food served is mass produced and lacks quality, and you also pay 3x as much as you would a little bit off the beaten track. Overall, a wonderful stay, will most definitely be back! :O)

Excellent hotel option near the City Centre of Barcelona. Hotel is also near the hop on/hop off bus stop making it convenient to tour. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very informative and helpful. We used the train from the airport to get to the hotel. We took the RENFE train 4 stops from the airport (Passeig de Gracia stop), then exit the train station, walk across the street and follow the metro signs to the train station and take the L4 train towards La Pau station and get off at Juame I station. The hotel is a few blocks from the Juame I station. I would definitely stay here again and do recommend.

We stayed 4 nights in this wonderful hotel. Everything was good, the rooms, the view ( upgrad to churchview), the breakfast. We celebrated a Birthday during our stay and the reception was very service-minded with recommendations and arrangements. We highly recommend this hotel!
