Suitable for the short stay tourist or business traveller
I stayed from 12 to 17 May 2013The hotel is clean, quiet at night and efficient enough. I had booked a single room through my package deal but at checkin I was given a twinned bed one with spacious bathroom. It is not a holiday hotel for families and is more for the business type/short stay traveller. But it is reasonably close to Alicante's RENFE station and the tram/narrow gauge railway line that goes along the Costa Blanca to Benidorm and Denia etc.

Business-like hotel
We were transferred here due to an issue at their sister hotel (Eurostars Meditterranea) but we only stayed for the one night as we didnt like it, its like a business hotel, very formal, very uniform, no character at all, receptionist staff were not very friendly, rooms are all the same, ours was facing the main road and quiet noisy! there were no bathroom products, no soap, no bath gel etc, i had to ring housekeeping to get some, the remote control didnt work on the TV either, poor for a 4star Hotel..Breakfast was probably the best thing about the hotel but it still wasnt up there with the best, it had a large variety on offer of hot and cold food, we had to ask for glasses for orange juice and when they came they were hot! we had to ask for coffee cups also..We waited a very long time for the lift to come to the 4th floor and gave up every time and ended up taking the stairs, it seemed to work from the ground floor going up but not the coming down.i am sorry to say i wouldent recommend it as there are probably much nicer hotels in the same area, i would however recommend the sister hotel..(Fabulous)

Tired hotel but friendly staff
We stayed here for 5 days.We found the location terrific. What the staff are unlikely to tell you at check-in is that you are moments away from Mercado tram station. This amazing service (underground) at Mercado, will take you up and down Costa Blanca.The hotel has very friendly staff but it is let down by poor maintenance and it's clear that the hotel is not spending much on upkeep.Wifi is not available in the room - the service kept cutting out right across Level 2 where we had two rooms. Many people go to the foyer to use the service. Frequent calls to reception acknowledged the problem, but was unable to get a fix so this looks systemic.Our bathroom had a massive water leak through the ceiling, at 7am we had a waterfall coming from the ceiling of our bathroom. The receptionist came up quickly with towels, but did not move us. They simply blocked the upstairs room for the duration of our stay. This seemed strange to us, but thankfully there were no more leaks.Breakfast was odd - the worst tasting bacon (often left on plates by guests, uneaten) and only scrambled eggs on one day. The rest was continental. Chipped plates and mugs are common place and the restaurant would frequently run out of clean plates.Overall it was okay, but nothing spectacular. If you are looking for a luxurious stay this is probably not the place. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean.

Great hotel
Stayed in this hotel for one night, before travelling to Valencia next day by train. All the facilities were very good, including the breakfast. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around to suite everyone's taste and budgets, even if you have children with you.

This hotel is not a four star hotel, nice two star! Hotel location was poor: far from beach, marina and rambla. Hotel lifts were very slow and small. room had no toileteries, no cosmetics,no sanitary products at all, no bathrobes, no slippers especially pertinent for hard floor (noisy), no sewing kit, no iron...staff did not speak good english and had no information about their town, Enrique merely shrugged his shoulders, when I asked how to catch a bus...no concierge either. wifi in lobby only, not in rooms.Breakfast was dull and repetitive: no fresh fruits and veg, not eggs (neither fried, nor poshed nor scrambled!) no branded tea bags (twinnings) one waiteress for the entire breakfast room, no glasses for juice, no cups for coffee, not enough bread and one toaster only, loads of dried tiny pastries, nothing of quality.A disappointment, especially the staff that did not speak English and seem to know nothing about the city and what to do, shrugging shoulders is unacceptable in a four star hotel!
