I recently held a conference at Menzies Swindon. The service was excellent and the team met all our needs and short notice requests.The rooms are clean but somewhat dated, my room had a fan but no ACFood in the restaurant was good and also a good wine selectionHighly recommended!

After reading some of the reveiws here i was a bit worried about going to this hotel but all I can say is the people must have stayed at a different hotel to us and I'm very fussyWe spent 2 nights here in room 212 could not fault a thing, staff are amazing and couldn't do enough for us, breakfast was good would not think twice about going back well done Menzies

Good hotel in central location
This hotel is centrally located in Swindon. It doesn't have its own car park but there is parking across the road and the hotel will validate the ticket for a reduced cost. The room was small but well equiped and clean. Staff very very helpful particularly in the restaurant. We had a limited time as we were going to a show and they made suggestions and brought the food out quickly. The quality of the food was very good as was the breakfast. The hotel offers free WiFi.

A second 5-night stay
As on my previous stay, I have to give top marks to Menzies Hotel, Swindon, for the excellent breakfasts, large comfortable bed, and location - which could hardly be bettered for anyone choosing to use public transport for sightseeing.My room, on the 5th floor, was warm, clean and well-equipped - except that there was no hair-drier (not that one was required) - comfortable to return to after a day of sightseeing in the bitterly cold wind. Towels and milk/sugar/coffee etc. were replenished daily. My room overlooked the building site but, far from finding it an eyesore, I enjoyed watching the work progress while awakening over my morning coffee.Breakfast was buffet-style but certain dishes (e.g. poached egg, fish) could be cooked to order - I wish, now, that I had tried some but, at the time, I had no difficulty in finding items that I liked from the extensive selection available. This hotel is - deservedly - popular with groups so there were times when the dining-room was crowded and noisy but the staff coped , smiling, with the diverse orders for each table.I did not use the bar so I cannot comment on the prices of soft or alcoholic drinks.
