Big Disapointment
Was looking for a reasonable 4 star hotel near Orly airport and found out that all hotels couldn't offer 4 nights beside of this hotel, unfortunately didn't figure out that there is a reason for that. So booked this hotel a sin the web page it looks like a reasonable hotel. But when got there, the disappointment was huge, total failure..The hotel is located in a deserted area like being in the dessert, nothing at ll near by the hotel and nothing that you can buy at the hotel beside a small vending machine that offers some drinks. The only possibility to eat is the hotel restaurant that in the evening offers a menu with 6 main courses only (the food was good but very expensive, for a first plate that includes 3 miniature bay shrimps, they will charge you 11 euros!!). In addition, the hotel restaurant closes by the weekend so that for eating during the weekend, you need to either use the hotel shuttle to get to the air port or a taxi to a near by city. When you you ask them to reserve you a taxi, there is no taxi station at the hotel so that you need to wait usually 10-15 minutes till the taxi arrives and then the taxi arrives already with 18-20 euros on his meter as you are the one to pay for his arrival, regardless the place from where he is arriving so that if the taxi needs to arrive from a remote location, you don't know nothing about it but you will get the bill for it..in addition, they say that they have family rooms that can fit up to 4 people. the family room is based on a single double bed plus 2 single beds, one on top of the other and all of that in in a very tiny small room. As a result, there isn't any space in the room and because of that, they will not include even a single chair in the room, if you plan to work on the comp, the pain in your back will start in minutes.the TV offers a single channel in English and for a hotel which is located near the airport, that just shows how much they care about your time a d since you have no other choice as the hotel is isolated, you can enjoy French channels as much as you want. The minibar in the room is empty and the only gratitude they will offer you will be a single 250ml bottle of water. even in the bathroom they will not include anything more beside shampoo and a very small soap!! and they claim to have 4 stars!!The rooms has windows but you cannot open none of them, not even for just getting some fresh air inside. Because of that, the air condition has to work all the time but funny enough, you can play with the thermostat as much as you want, it has no affect on the air condition at all.My strong suggestion to you is to avoid this hotel and put it to be the last option on your list, use it only if there is no other choice and you must be there and even then, do it for the minimum necessary time, don't expect nothing from it.

Good Overnight Stay if you have an Early Morning Flight
We stayed at this Hotel for one night in the third week in April after flying from London to Paris Orly Airport and again for another night three days later. We chose this place because it is close to the airport making it convenient for early morning flights. There is a free shuttle to and from the Airport which is a definite positive. The hotel appeared to be in an Industrial area with not too much happening nearby. So you are more or less confined to the Hotel itself. The Hotel looked a bit tired with average size rooms. The bathroom was fine and the shower was pretty good. The staff were very friendly although communicating in English was a little difficult. We had dinner at the restaurant both nights (as there was nowhere else to go). The food in the restaurant we thought was pretty good and service excellent. It is a good overnight stay, especially if you have a morning flight to catch

Disappointed with standard more Ibis than Mercure
Bit disappointed in this Hotel. Good shuttle pick-up and close to the Airport but place looks a bit tired plus it looks like a barrack block and rooms have cell doors! On positives staff were friendly and helpful, food in restaurant was good value (esp. 2 course 24 Euro fixed price menu) and quality, room was a decent size, bathroom was also fine with a good shower plus there was a free airport shuttle and wifi. Negatives are the view from the room was an industrial waste land, no opening window, battered d¿¿cor and unappealing communal areas. Passable for an overnight stay but not an extended one!

Great place to lay your head ready for early morning flight - nothing fancy
I've stayed here a couple of times over the past year and have always found it be a clean and pleasant place. nothing fancy and very handy for late arriving or early morning flights. Room service menu is basic to say the least but the food is good on the whole. Staff speak OK english. My hotel of choice for Orly.

Not deserving of its four stars
We have used the Mercure hotel at Orly on several occasions purely because of its practicality. The hotel is so close to the airport terminals and the frequent free shuttle service makes it very convenient. Staying overnight before an early morning flight makes the journey easier and less stressful, than having to drive to the airport early the same day.We always book the room on line, as the price is so much cheaper than the price displayed in the lobby. The rooms are contempory, attractive and of a reasonable size, but I would only give them 7/10 for their cleanliness. The rooms though quiet and comfortable are always far too hot, despite having switched off the central heating. I find it difficult to sleep well because of this. We discussed the problem at reception and were told that here was no air conditioning at this time of the year to cool the room down and as the windows are triple glazed and sealed it is impossible to open them. The public rooms, on the whole, are pleasantly decorated, but part of the restaurant area is very much in need of updating. The dishes on the menu there sound appetising, however when they are presented at table, I consider that this is not the case. I ordered sea bass, accompanied by basmati rice and a ¿¿¿wok¿¿¿ of vegetables at 22euros. The fish was over cooked and rubbery; the rice insufficiently cooked and the vegetables had not been cooked in a wok. They seemed to have been cooked in a micro-wave. The dessert a ¿¿¿Mille Feuilles¿¿¿ of guava at 7 euros proved to be even more of a disappointment. It seemed to be composed of liquid cream and guava syrup which had been squirted from a syphon onto a few small pieces of Filo pastry. There wasn¿¿¿t a piece of fruit in sight. This had very little taste. I thought that the whole meal was very poor considering the hotel has a 4star rating. The staff at the hotel are friendly and try to be helpful. If this hotel was not so conveniently situated for Orly airport users, I would not be going there again.
