After our check in, the receptionist had a separate check in for our two boys: 5 and 6, which made them feel very important. They were provided with wrist bands which entitled them to free juice and water from reception during our 1night stay which was in addition to their welcome pack and free ice cream. This is the first time this has happened to us during a stay in a uk hotel (we have stayed in quite a few over the years with our kids) so I thought worthy of a mention on trip advisor, as I hope more hotels will follow. In addition the foot stool at reception is for younger guests to avail of the free sweets from the jar on top of the reception desk - which was raided on a few occasions by our two boys. Family room: good size, plenty of storage and shelf space in bathroom, 2 comfy double beds, tv, tea, coffee and more biscuits. Excellent Pool, which is the reason we booked and the hottest spa pool I have ever tried! Plus free pool towels. Location ideal for transport museum or town made this hotel a brilliant choice for us and certainly will use again.

FREE WiFi!
I didn't want to miss out on the largest city in Scotland so I squeezed one night in Glasgow before heading to London, which made it a hush-hush affair at the Menzies Glasgow Hotel for me.But I was baffled when the receptionist told me that my booking had been cancelled and even showed confirmation for the same to me. She was pretty rude then. The air cleared once I called my travel agent in India and things were sorted thereafter. The receptionist then maybe realized her mistake and spoke softly and cordially.I got two of my rooms after waiting for about 60 more minutes and the keys to my third room were provided to me after a further delay of about 80-90 minutes.The rooms were nicely done and the bathrooms too looked good. The prominent feature of the rooms given to me were large windows and an exceptional view!The breakfast served was very good and so was the staff present there.Although I didn't use it, but the swimming pool in the activity center made separately (close to the reception) seemed rather decent.But, the best part of this hotel was the free WiFi that they provided me with. Full marks for that!My experience in this hotel was not bad at all and yes, I caught up with some Indian Premiere League on the idiot-box too; The only hotel where that particular channel was available throughout my trip!God bless! :)

Tired and dated looking.
Just back from a weekend away here. There is a stale fousty smell in the reception area and bar. The reception staff were helpful and friendly at all times. The room itself and hallways were very tired looking.....furniture, cushions on bed very flat, bathroom really needing done up, the whole place a bit manky looking. The swimming pool and sauna however was very clean and great to have. Breakfasts were also very good. There was cooked, cereals and fruit buffets. I won't be back here as I'd rather someplace a bit cleaner and modern.

stayed for weekend and was very happy with service ,,room very spacious and comfortable,,good value for money ,,and the restaurant gives a great breakfast ,,all you can eat and drink to set you up for the day ,,staff very helpful and eager to help,,well worth a trip to this menzies for exploring glasgows treats ,,clubs pub,shows ,and all glasgow has to offer a stroll away from base.

After a long day full of sightseeing and shopping, you can enjoy the amenities of the health club with swimming pool, steam room and fully equipped gym. If your face is tired, head to the spa where you can enjoy range of therapies in three treatment rooms such as manicure & pedicure, massage and etc. Menzies Glasgow places emphasize on the guest¿¿¿s satisfaction and attention to the details which can be seen in every corner; for example soft drinks in minibar free of charge or bathroom toiletries. Hotel staff is ready to meet each guest¿¿¿s request and organize a city tour.ll bedrooms have flat screen TV¿¿¿s with range of sport channels and wireless internet complimentary. The apartment I¿¿¿ve stayed in has fully equipped kitchen, dining table and living room area. The bathrobes are available to all the guests to complement their comfort during the stay. I cannot forget the gastronomical part of your visit to Glasgow and Menzies, the Brasserie restaurant on the ground floor offers variety of local British and international dishes which are fleshly prepared. During my stay I¿¿¿ve tried onion soup made of fresh vegetable and onion and tomato fettuccine with basil, parmesan and chili which was delicious. Breakfast buffet consists of hot and cold dishes, fruit table, fresh juices and Danish pastries; traditional English breakfast with sausage, pudding, beans and egg can be also found here J Variety of events such as company¿¿¿s celebrations, banquets and conference dinners can be enjoyed here as well. Business travelers can take also advantage of the conference facilities which can accommodate up to 160 people.
