Very good budget hotel in great location with excellent parking
The hotel is in terrific location overlooking the racecourse and outside of event days offers a very comfortable room at a potentially reasonable charge. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. A good night's sleep and very good breakfast for non-vegetarians. On race days they also have an upstairs restaurant overlooking the course which can be booked for meals, at table betting and an altogether good time!

Better than I had expected
I had thought the Garden Court brand was inferior to the Holiday Inn Express brand, but it seems I was mistaken. Room inferior to full blown Holiday Inn but no worse, and indeed a little bigger than HIExpress. Quiet room, but given the location I think all rooms would be quiet which, in true HI fashion worked as it should. Not enough free electrical sockets for my liking, but that's just a personal thing as I travel with a work and person laptop, an iPad and iPhone and a work blackberry. Oh, my Bluetooth earpiece needs charging too.Left early and didn't stay for breakfast (at ¿¿13.50 I assume it is Rolls Royce standard in Wolverhampton, not customer exploitation) and checkout a very smooth process.

Friendly Staff
From booking this hotel the staff were always very friendly, we stayed on a Saturday to go to a wedding. Booking in was quick and easy, the room was clean, but the TV did not work, somebody was sent to fix it, but was not able to, we were given free wifi to make amends, as we were staying overnight and would not be using the room much it was not much of a problem, In the morning when checking out I was told I would be phoned by the manager on the Monday with an apology for the TV, this never happened, I don't know if the message was passed on or not but I was disappointed there no call. Breakfast was good and plenty of it, but what made this hotel for me were the staff.

Change your pillows
Hotel is quite dated throughout. Staff are friendly and the food is actually fairly decent. The shower was quiet weak. The real main negative is the pillows. They are tiny which means you just can't get comfortable.

Overnight stay
Fast and friendly service, clean room poor quality bed in comparison to other similar hotel chains. Would have been a lovely view from the room but the outside of the windows was filthy,or covered with something. Easy to get to and plenty of parking.
