My husband and I stayed at the Staybridge for 4 nights, recently.. We really enjoyed the experience. It's very good value for money. The suite was small, but clean and well-lit. It was well laid out. The free internet was great. The TV had many channels. The kitchen was convenient, well-stocked, and easy to use. The bathroom was clean and modern. There were plenty of outlets (so we could charge our devices). We found the staff very friendly and helpful during our entire stay. We were particularly pleased to find a 24-hour convenience store in the lobby. Great idea! Note also: there are free drinks and snacks in the lobby on weeknights; I had some cheese and crackers. There is also a laundry room on-site, though we didn't use it. My only minor (tiny tiny) complaint is that I was unsure where to take our trash during days on which there was no room cleaning. With that tiny caveat, I would say that this was a really excellent hotel experience in its category. This hotel gave us a good base for exploring Newcastle and the surrounding area, and the staff made it a very pleasant experience indeed.

Stayed here for 2 nights at Easter 2013 with my wife as part of a longer holiday in the area.Cashed in Priority Club points - so the only thing we had to pay for was the parking - ¿¿8 per 24 hours, from memory. Considering the location, I don't consider this excessive - you could hardly be closer to the City Centre!We were all set to book the Hotel Indigo, but were staggered to find this place had an even higher rating on Tripadvisor. Having now stayed, we were not disappointed.Staff were excellent - friendly, engaging without being imposing, absolutely always helpful with loads of suggestions. For all the local takeaways - they have up to date menus - and will manage the whole order for you so you don't need to give our your room number: they will buzz you when it arrives at reception. There are also special offers for residents too - I think one of the pizza places had a deal on. Plenty odds & ends in the little in-house shop too, if you fancy using your kitchenette but can't face a big load of shopping; yes, it's not supermarket cheap, but prices not unreasonable for the convenience of it.Self-service breakfast area and the quiet room / snug were open plan and airy; very comfortable. Breakfast was an extensive cold buffet plus a few hot items: think of it as a slightly extended Holiday Inn Express breakfast; perhaps not surprising, both being IHG brands!The room was outstanding - I won't go into masses of detail because others on here have done so, but there were a few highlights.The spacious and beautifully appointed bathroom had an LED nightlight - this was excellent!I am of the generation who sometimes requires a visit in the wee small hours - and was able to do so without disturbing my wife. This would be good if you had kids too.Bed was very comfortable - full 5' King size.This next one is going to be either loved or ignored, but for me, it's a biggie.Us Brits have suffered crap coffee in our hotels for far too long.Well - The highest marks of all must go to Staybridge Newcastle.They have a self-service La Cimbali bean-to-cup coffee machine downstairs which is on 24 hours - free for all guests!!So that's PROPER fresh-ground expresso, cappucino, latte etc. available - all the time - no UHT milk in sight - in a mug to drink there & then or in a takeaway cup & lid.I simply can't praise this enough - BRAVO!! One of the BIGGEST things I miss when I travel is decent coffee - and here, you can help yourself - day or night. No searching for the nearest java joint.One final thing to mention, just in case you haven't read it anywhere already - this is NOT a full-service hotel, it is serviced apartments. So each room has a self-catering kitchenette and there is NO restaurant in the place. If you don't want to travel out for your evening meal - look elsewhere.Personally, we loved it - just 5-10 minutes walk down to all the restaurants by the Millenium Bridge (we had a great meal in "Gusto") and a nice spot to take a snap of the Tyne Bridge.I'll be back!

Stayed here 4th may for one night. The room was amazing, spacious and so clean, wasn't a spec of dirt anywhere and the bed was so comfy. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfast was great, there was loads to choose from. Overall a fantastic stay, I don't have a bad word to say about this hotel, I would recommend it to anyone.

We stayed for one evening over Easter as we were seeing a show at the Sage. the location is perfect for this. I would not recommend as a city centre hotel though. The rooms were a little on the small side but incredibly well equipped. You really could live quite comfortably in them. For one night - and we ate out at SIX - this was a bit wasted on us. The breakfast t - billed as continental - actually had bacon, scrambled eggs hash browns and tomatoes - so that was an added bonus. We wanted to look round the Baltic after check out and were actually encouraged to make use of their parking until we were ready to leave the city. Great service - but as we had paid additionally for parking -to be expected really.

I've stayed at many IHG hotels and this is by far the best experience. The rooms are modern, spacious, clean. The beds are comfortable. The staff are friendly, polite and courteous.This hotel is handy for the city centre without being right in the centre. It is in a quiet location and I've never had a problem with noise. Breakfast is buffet style, plentiful and hearty.I particularly like the managers reception on a tues/weds/thurs it gives me the opportunity to socialise with work colleagues + enjoy free drinks and snacks after a long day at work.I highly recommend anyone to stay here for personal or business reasons as it has an home away from home feel.
