The best hotel experience I've EVER had!
I had origionally book my hotel room for one night through expeidia. This was because, in searching for a hotel to stay in in Newmarket, while I was working at the Magna center for a Ringette tournament for the weekend, travel agencies were all that came up during my on line search. I was unable to find a direct number for the hotel on line. So I booked the room with Expedia and then when I checked in on February 15th, Friday night, the wonderful staff explained that I could have called directly for a cheaper rate. This upset me terribly because we had already paid for the room. But, because of the kind explanation and information I received from the warm staff that Friday night, I decided to enjoy the weekend and spend another night with the Comfort Inn, at the cheaper rate. It was such a savings and after seeing the beautiful room and after being treated so kindly, I decided to enjoy the whole weekend there. It was truly the most comfortable I have ever felt while checking in and staying at a hotel. The continental breakfast and the beautiful room it was served in topped off the whole experience and made me decide to always look for Comfort Inn when planning my next trip. I want to commend the staff for their over the top service and thank you all for adding to the success of a beautiful weekend in Newmarket. Thank you, sincerely Lisa Tibando, lisatibando@hotmail.com

Great for a Comfort Inn
Was recently in Newmarket for competition.. stayed at the Comfort Inn Newmarket. It is off Davis drive.. right near 404... great location... the front lobby is unlike a Comfort Inn..all updated breakfast bar, with a flat screen TV with lounge chairs, tables.... Great..! There were alot of teams at the hotel.. a bunch of us had a social in the lounge... created less noise near the roooms (like most teams do). Breakfast was great, eggs, hash browns, cereals, coffee, juices, waffles, bagels, toast... what more could you ask for... if we go back to the same competition we will stay here again..! The staff at front desk was excellent.

A disappointing stay
We stayed at this Comfort Inn this past weekend and, unfortunately, it fell short of our expectations. When we booked our reservation, it was confirmed to us that the hotel had been recently renovated. Upon arrival and in entering our very cold room (air conditioning was on), however, we were met with a tidy, but outdated, environment. The rug was badly stained in the sitting area as well as just outside the bathroom, giving us the impression that the rugs hadn't been cleaned in a long while. We were uncomfortable with removing our shoes and with sitting on the furniture. We mentioned this to the front desk staff (who was very friendly and courteous) who indicated that all room rugs were steam-cleaned every day. The maid told us, the following morning, that only pet-friendly rooms were steam-cleaned every day. We were in Room 102 on the lower level. We also asked about the recent renovations and were told that it was the lobby area that was renovated, and not the rooms. The breakfast, for the most part, was okay, but the scrambled eggs were flash frozen (as we were told by a staff person) not fresh....and tasted like such. They were almost floury and dense as opposed to light and fluffy, with a very artificial taste and texture. In returning to Newmarket, we will, most likely, try another hotel.

quality rest
I required a night stay in Newmarket due to hospitalization of my husband for one night. I knew I wanted a place with a microwave to heat some supper(I brought from home) A included breakfast was a bonus. This hotel was a short drive from the hospital, easy to locate. The reservation was placed with knowledge of the hospital stay and offered a 10.00$ off rate. This was nice, but what was the best was the friendly staff upon arriving after a long day of being stressed and tired. The receptionist gave me a room with a microwave, after I asked if there was one I could use in the kitchen area. The rooms are updated, clean, 42"flatscreen TV and with a comfy bed. Breakfast the next morning in a bright, clean well equipped area. There is hot choices, scrambled eggs, bacon, as well as cereals, muffins, etc. The lady stocking the breakfast area was pleasant and welcoming. It was quiet here, as it was a monday. not sure how weekends would fare, but I was totally satisfied with my sleep and rest.

Nice Stay
It's close to highway 404 with other amenities nearby and It is about a 10-15 drive to the Upper Canada Mall. Our room was very clean and the breakfast was very nice. The girl working the morning that we were there did an excellent job of keeping up, as they had a large crowd that. Just a note however, that the breakfast area is a bit small for larger groups. The key cards for the rooms and outer doors weren't working properly and they explained that they were having problems. Hopefully they have that issue resolved. I would stay there again.Just a note to management: please add softener to the towels!
