This hotel would have potential if they took care of it cared about the comforts a guest looks for when staying at a hotel. When we arrived the hotel staff seemed overwhelmed even though there were only 3 people at the front desk. There was a new person "training" it seemed and the woman "training" him was more so yelling at him for not doing something correctly instead of helping him. The hotel has an odd vibe to it right when you walk in. Our room was not going to be ready until RIGHT at the check in time, 4pm. Which was fine cause we were going out. But that's never happened in all of the hotels we've stayed at. Oh well. So when we got back and got into the room we were on the 3rd floor right on the street almost. The walls are not sheet rock painted walls, I am not sure of the material but it was a kind that was glossy and SOOO dirty, you can see so many fingerprints and smears of dirty hands. SO gross. The room was SO small, you literally walk in the room and the bed is RIGHT there. No room to put anything, no closet or dresser. At night you can hear music loudly and noise of people slamming their room doors. Late, like 2-3-4am. The carpet in our room was stained and pulling up from the floor where furniture was. I think we almost could have dealt with all of that, but the rock hard bed and pillows were the final straw. We did not mention any of these things to the hotel cause we were only there for one night then left to go to a different place thank god. But it was not comfortable, it was so small, dirty, staff was inexperienced and seemed rude. We have stayed in probably over 20 hotels in NYC and this was by far the worst. It has neat little touches in the room that would have been cool if the important things were not so crappy.

We stayed at Flatiron and was very very very nice and cool..i think that Flatiron is ALL i was looking for!!!You have amazing location,fashion hall,great personel if i could say with one word is PERFECT!!!

Excellent hotel!! stayed here march 2013 for my girlfriends 40th birthday present , perfect location ,large very clean room,friendly staff! a perfect stay! in a very trendy hotel!! would def stay there again ! New york its wonderfull!!!

We found this hotel on Agoda and can say it was everything we expected & more.Great location- easy to get pretty much anywhere in the city by foot, subway or cab!Devon thank you for all your hints, tips & advice! You could not have been more of a gentleman!

The Flat Iron District is changing at the speed of light, its golden towers visible from Madison Square Park beckon you to this delicious neighborhood. The Flat Iron Hotel is steps away from it all. A boutique Hotel with excellent Staff (this is my 3rd stay) who remember your name and go the extra mile(like bringing hot water to my room late night for a cup of tea so I wouldn't have to drink "coffee flavored" water from the room pot.) Samantha at the front desk, and Joe & Devon will make your stay a pleasure and Sean the manager will make it all effortless. One small reminder stay on the upper floors as the Toshi Room can get loud, or if you're in town to enjoy yourself, go join the fun.
