No Surprises - Standard Hyatt Quality
I spent two nights here while attending a professional conference and was not unpleasantly surprised---that's a good thing.This property is a fairly standard Hyatt atrium hotel. It is well managed with friendly efficient staff, reasonably priced, and has the usual amenities for such venues. The hotel was hosting a wedding when I arrived and I was offered a complementary glass of champagne at check in.Frequent travelers will be happy, those in the Hyatt Gold Passport program will be happier. The beds were comfy, heat and AC worked well, maid service was efficient and thorough, and the decor was in good repair and unremarkable for the brand. One big plus for business travelers was a power strip with ample outlets at the work desk.The 4th street location is super convenient to the convention center and a multitude of fast food and upscale eateries. The hotel's signature restaurant, Sway, was also very good and I have posted a separate Tripadvisor a review on it. 4th street is a destination location for events and the hotel is close enough for convenience, yet set back enough to avoid street noise.Check in and out were smooth and Hyatt sent a plethora of e-mail prompts and reminders with on-line check in and out options.I recommend this hotel for business travelers and convention goers, but families might like it too.

Super comfortable- great neighborhood
Stayed for four nights in April. Clean room, lots of fluffy pillows, nice linens. Clean, well-lit bathroom, with nice shampoo, soaps, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. Bring earplugs, though, the sound carries. EZ walking distance to the riverside park - perfect for runners and walkers. Plenty of places to eat, from sandwich shops to nice restaurants. There is no safe in the room, or I would give it five stars. The hotel mentions again and again not to leave valuables in the room, but to use their safe deposit boxes, you have to go through the front desk each and every time. There is no downtown shuttle from the airport - it cost $20 by taxi - pretty unusual these days for a city. Must be some kind of racket!

Wonderful stay.
I don't understand why the Hyatt Regency doesn't rank higher among Louisville hotels. We had a wonderful stay. The room was great, the food was good, and the staff was nice. The only negative related to the acoustics - sound does carry.We look forward to staying here again!

Great in town location
Loved staying here! Very clean and spacious. The best part was the proximity to Fourth Street. What a great unique venue with so many choices for good food and live music in a cool setting. Amazingly comfortable bed as well. Would definitely stay here again.
