Comfortable, friendly, fun place
This is my second time staying at the Showboat in Atlantic City. It felt so familiar and comfy. Rooms are nice and adequate. Guest services were extremely helpful. Easy casino to navigate - all in all I would recommend and return.Go next door and view the new, "shiny", modern hotel - REVEL!!The one thing that would make the Showboat better would be winning more $$$$..

Clean, welcoming hotel
I booked 4 nights through hotels.com with a rate of $50 for new orleans delux rooms, then I joined the total rewards program of showboat, the sent me an offer of the same but for $25 a night, so I cancelled the other, while I'm checking in I requested an upgrade, told me suite will be $109 more a night which still very good but I got the premium room for 12.50 more a night ($70 value ) it's recently renovated , ocean view , requested high floor, very clean , a bath with double sink, 50" tv, service was fantastic and very fast, The only thing is kids havn't a lot to do here.

Good enough but expensive on the weekend
We travelled to Atlantic City for an overnight trip and elected to stay at a boardwalk casino hotel. The Showboat met both criteria and was in line with the costs of other similar hotels. When I called to confirm our reservation and ask about parking, I was dismayed by the reception I received. My call did not seem important to the front desk clerk at all. Luckily, when we arrived, the valet parking staff was very nice. Do park your car in the valet. It is easy to check in this way and there is only a one time charge. You can take your car in and out. Our check in was quick and easy, but we arrived after seven. The lines the next day for check-in looked horrific. We were a party of five and had one room with a King size bed and another with two queen size beds. We could hear everything through the walls. In the middle of the night there were screaming twenty-somethings in the halls and the doors did not muffle the sounds a bit. Rooms were fine, but the lamp on the bedside did not function. Rather than replacing it, they left it and put a functioning floor lamp next to it! Boardwalk location was nice. We took several walks in the beautiful weather. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant and the food and the service was very good.

Great deal using Total Rewards Card
We went down for my birthday to enjoy the casinos, have a nice dinner, and walk on the beach. We have stayed at the hotel before, so we know what to expect. Things are not very modern, but the room was clean. Beds aren't anything to write home about, but there are refrigerators in the rooms, a casino downstairs, and its close to everything on the strip. We also got a great deal for a friday night using our total rewards card. It would have been nice if the hotel had acknowledged that it was my birthday, but I guess not all hotels do that. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to enjoy AC without paying a whole lot. Just make sure you look for a deal. Their website and over the phone prices are always more expensive then going through total rewards or kayak. Aside from Revel which is super expensive, there aren't any fancy hotels in AC to choose from anyway. This is just as good as all the rest.

great casino hotel for the price
room and bathroom were clean check in was fast for the price the room is fine. Earl of Sandwich good food . Location is also good to other casinos.Casino was not very full . Miller Lite for $3.00 all day.
