Good but pleased we got a good price!
We had a lovely stay at Blue Rainbow in the second May Bank Holiday weekend. Great central location, about a 5minute walk from the train station. The apartment was large for the two of use with a kitchen/ living room, bedroom and bathroom. However considering it was meant to be an executive apartment I was pleased that we had got a good price. Some elements of the apartment such as the kitchen and bathroom were showing signs of wear, also more care should have been taken with cleaning.

Great Stay
Great location within a close proximity to bars, restaurants, shops, wonderful sights and a 5 minute walk from Waverley train station. The zoo was also a 10-minute journey in a taxi for those heading there. Originally booking a saver apartment we were pleasantly pleased upon check-in to be greeted with the news we were being upgraded to an executive apartment free of charge. There was a minor fault with the hotels card machine during check-in but the receptionist Stuart did all he could promptly to fix the situation, which was excellent.The room, aside from the somewhat squeaky floor boards throughout and irritating smoke alarms at night (really bright flashing red light) had everything you needed of which you have at your home, from an oven to dressing table, amazing. Room had complimentary milk ready in the fridge, with tea and coffee making facilities. Room was spotless, but we did however find a key card wallet dating back to mid-April and we stayed the end of May.All in all, we will definitely be back on our next trip to Edinburgh

There was poop in the toilet
DO NOT STAY HERE! Don't let the very central location fool you. We checked in late at night after a very long day and they reception clerk was horribly rude, condescending, unhelpful, and all around unpleasant. We made it to our room which is huge but not very clean. There was poop in the toilet, they didn't have enough toilet paper (they ran out for the entire hotel), the couch was ripped, there was hair in the shower, the window didn't shut, and the list goes on! We unfortunately had a run in with that same reception clerk and he was just as bad the second time. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here, not worth the reduced price.

Lovely Clean Apartment
Stayed here for four nights, check in was quick and easy . Wasn't sure what to expect but we was truly surprised at how nice the apartment was. Very clean and nicely decorated,there was everything you would need for a self catering holiday. Although we only made toast and tea as there was too many restaurants to try in Edinburgh. Only one gripe the management need to invest in fitted sheets for the mattress as the ones they have now don't stay tucked in. Although the beds and pillows were very comfy. Would definitely stay here again..

Great hotel
We had a very good experience with the hotel, the apartments are really well conserved and have an excellent location, just a kilometer away from waverly bridge where the buses from the airport arrive and which is the center of the city.
