Loved every MINUTE!
My fiance and I wanted to get away and just decided to pack up and head out to Gurnee Illinois. We figured it'd be nice to go someplace new to us both. The hotel we stayed at, the Country Inn & Suites by Carlson, was very tidy. We didn't have very many plans to sight see since we have never gone out this far before, so we just wanted to lounge around the room and enjoy what it had to offer. The staff welcomed us and treated us kindly and had treats to offer. We gladly indulged in the free food and kindness of those around us. We came to learn that Six Flags was right around our area! We loved just how convenient the location was.The room again was very clean and comfortable, not cramped in the slightest. I was pleased to have access to the pool. I was a bit let down that they didn't have a hot tub, but that's really the only bad thing I could say about it.Overall it was such a peaceful and playful experience I would definitely come back here again and recommend this place to friends.

Great place
I'm traveling in US these days. So i went to Gurnee as a traveler. Found this great place to stay. As i'm travelling i needed a good place for a less price. Price is very competitive in this place. And for that little amount of money i got many facilities. There is a indoor pool which is hard to find in many places for this price. Bed rooms are great. One bad thing. This is a non smoking facility. So i can't smoke. Other things are great.

My husband and grandson were competing in the Spartan Sprint in Laurel, Indiana so I booked this as a stop to make our trip more managable. From the moment we pulled into the parking lot I was impressed. The hotel was inviting. Check in was quick. There were chocolate chip cookies on the counter but we didn't partake so I can't say if they were any good. When we walked into our room there was a welcome bag with a thank you card, a bottle of water, trail mix and a couple of chocolates. It was not necessary but a very nice touch! The breakfast was one of the best I have seen in quite awhile. If you couldn't find anything you eat you probably don't like breakfast! The only thing that was disappointing was that the hot tub was covered so we could not use it. For the price of this room it was a fantastic value and I would definately stay there again.

Fantastic
We stayed here in early April, son graduating from Naval Training. Hotel is 9 miles to base, easy drive. We were upgraded to a suite, very roomy. Great breakfast & comfy hotel. This location is just across stree from 6 Flags and down the street from Mall. Carmen at the front desk is the best. Room comes with frig & microwave. Good internet access. rooms were nice& quiet for the # of guests.

Econo Lodge 3740 Grand Avenue, Gurnee, IL 60031
The Econo Lodge hotel is inexpensive and fine for an one night stay. It is located on the left When you enter Grand Avenue from the Highway.I am listing this with another hotel, due to the same location, Grand Avenue.
