Spotless charm
Visited in April 2013 and found the hotel to be very clean, much more reasonably priced than others in the area (use the government discount if you are a government employee), and quaint in an old-fashioned kind of way. The breakfast included was quite generous, the bathroom recently renovated, and I heard the front desk staff talking about the rooms getting new furniture. While husband was at meetings, I walked to campus (about 20+ minutes) and had a great Thai lunch. The front desk staff were very helpful in giving me suggestions in whiling away the time. I had an INCREDIBLE pedicure two buildings away in a funky restored building, and a great healthy shake in the same place. It was incredibly easy to find with free wifi and parking. The first night was great, the second a little rough only because of the other guests slamming doors. Bed was pretty comfortable.

A Nice place with character
My sone and I just stayed 4 days at the Parkview Hotel. Nice place with character.If you are looking for a Hotel comfortable with a friendly staff and something that does not feel at all like the chains. This is the place. We had a great time while we were there. Clean rooms, good breakfast and a comfortable bar with light snacks if you're looking to get out of the room but don't feel like going out. The location was perfect if you are going to SU, walking distance to most everything, enough parking of the street which made it nice.Overall this was a good choice if you are looking for something different than a big hotel or chain.

Wasn't expecting this
The price was great and so was the service. Spent a lot of time in the lobby in front of the fire place doing work and hanging with my mom. I was there for a college tour and the staff made sure we knew where we were going. The room was a very nice size and the bathrooms were clean and cozy. The view of the city was excellent as well! LOVED THIS PLACE! Will be returning!

Friendly and welcoming
Stayed here during my son's visit to ESF. The staff was wonderful! Always cheerful and upbeat. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Loved the atmosphere. Surrounding area leaves a little to be desired, but it is a convenient location.

Comfortable unique hotel with very nice lounge and a hot breakfast
We arrived at 10 pm after driving all day. Check in was easy, the room was large and very clean & nice with coffee maker and refrigerator. Decor included classic wallpaper and plantation shutters and sitting chair. Bathroom was art deco with stylish black and white tiles. We visited the lounge after settling in and my husband had a beer on tap and I had a very nice Cabernet. We were a little hungry so we ordered a cheese plate. That came with three cheeses of our choice with crackers and fruit and there were even left overs. The young lady behind the bar was quite friendly and helpful. When we returned to the room my husband was glad to find he could watch golf channel before falling to sleep. I would definitely stay here again!
