Ideal Location. Rooms dark and small.
This was the 1st hotel we stopped in on a trip to LA, LV and SF. The cost of a taxi from LAX was just over $50 and took about 20mins. Good 1st impression. Pleasant desk staff. Red light in lift..buy hey its LA! Had booked 2 queen rooms without a view so knew that we would get a wall but was not expecting the room to be decorated in black. Lights had to be on even during daylight hours and was quite oppressive. The ensuite was functional and modern. The round stone sink was nice but not designed to have a plug so you could not fill a basin of water and due to the constraint on space there was no space to lay out your toiletries. The shower was nice and powerful. Housekeeping came everyday and were very efficient. The continental breakfast was very nice with plenty of fresh pastries and juice which was included in the price of the room. one of the best thing about this hotel is its location, just a block from 7th Street Metro with its easy access to all of LA.

Very small rooms, good location, good service
Stayed here for a conference at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The location was good - we were able to walk to the convention center, dinner, bars, downtown, etc. The staff was friendly, breakfast was decent, and the hotel is very unique looking. But boy are the rooms SMALL! My colleague and I were put in a room with a queen bed our first night and had to get a roll away...,, we actually couldn't walk around the room or put our suitcases on the floor. To move around we had to jump over the beds. We were moved to a room with 2 beds the following nights, but the beds were twins and the room was still incredibly small. The bathroom was also quite small and had little/no room to unpack anything you might need to use or access. The room was very noisy as well, both from inside the hotel hallways with doors slamming and housekeeping and from street noise.

Good boutique hotel, great location, excellent value
I recently stayed three nights at the O Hotel for a business trip. Hotel is very conveniently located in walking distance of major downtown LA attractions. Subway is one block away, plus there are many restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Parking is right next door and couldn't be more convenient. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, lobby is gorgeous and the bar / lounge area is ideal for a business meeting or date. My room was on the smallish side but was well designed to maximize the space. Everything was clean and worked well, had all the amenities I needed, bed was very comfortable. Not much of a view but I wasn't expecting or needing one. Free breakfast in the lobby was excellent. I would definitely stay here again for business, probably would look to a hotel with more romantic / luxurious rooms if I was staying with my wife. If you like the boutique hotel experience, you will really like this place.

Good location, great service
I stayed four nights for a conference - it's within walking distance of the convention/Staples/Nokia Theater. It's a boutique hotel, so I was prepared for the small-ish room. A little freaked out by the sliding glass bathroom door (glad I was traveling alone!). Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the shower had nice pressure and good, hot water. Housekeeping was great, and there's a buffet Continental breakfast in the mornings. I wish there was more than one treadmill in the fitness room (you could use the nearby gym for free, but I'm not walking around downtown LA in the early am hours alone). The bar/restaurant is REALLY good - great service and yummy food. Everyone at the front desk could answer my goofy n00b questions. I forgot some clothes and they're mailing them to me (for free!), and promptly sent me an updated invoice that I needed for my finance peeps. I would stay there again. CON: I was awakened EVERY morning around 5:30 by the trash truck right under my window! Good thing I was still on East Coast time.
