Business stay
Stayed here for 5 nights as my husband was hosting a conference. Fortunate to get a castle view room, excellent room, plenty of space, fantastic view of castle and well decorated. Breakfast was great, plenty of choices. Didn't manage to use spa facilities. Conference was well organised and had a gala dinner. Food and service was excellent. We have booked this hotel for our daughters wedding this year and we won't be disappointed

Great if you have an outside room
This hotel has recently been renovated and very it has turned out very well. It is right in the middle of town, in walking distance of everything. Rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated with plenty of amenities. Breakfast is excellent. Internet ought to be free considering the price of the room. If you get a room with a castle view, then you'll probably enjoy your stay very much.Some of the other rooms though open to a a dark, unfriendly courtyard with an ugly convention center across from it.

Great Beds, Staff, Ambiance and Location
We arrived jetlagged and the gentleman checking us in searched until he found us a room that was ready...really made our day! We walked into a cheerful room with an amazing bed and bathroom. At night, there are low red lights to keep the room from total darkness if you choose, nice touch! The location is a short walk from the Royal Mile, restaurants, Prince Street Gardens and the castle. It was very easy to get around Edinburgh from here. Short cab ride or 20 minute walk to train station (would not suggest with luggage). Also, a short cab ride to Calton Hill with the amazing views of Edinburgh and all the monuments. Also, restaurants right across the street (see my review of Kama Sutra...2 minute walk and delicious!!!)

Excellent Training Event hosted by The Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa
Recently we have held a 10 month training event at the hotel. The service that we experienced over this time was impeccable. As soon as you¿¿¿re met at the front door by friendly concierge staff you instantly feel at home. The atmosphere is welcoming and conveys a close nit team.Throughout the event there were many changes and demands made by the delegates, which the hotel responded to very efficiently by solving all the requirements. There were a number of cultural differences and the hotel went above and beyond to ensure that as many of these as possible were met. It never felt that anything was too much effort.The customer service the events team and the delegates received was outstanding and very professional, all departments were more than attentive, even at busy times we were always made to feel like we were the staffs top priority.After many years in event management working in hotels all across the world we have to say the hotel and its staff are outstanding and have made our event a huge success.

This Sheraton was a winner. Recently remodeled to a very high standard with quality finishes and a critical eye for design, We loved the location and everything about it. Booked through Hotwire and gat a great rate. Try it ...you won't be disappointed.
