Nothing wrong with this hotel...
We needed a hotel that was close to SFO. This hotel was excellent for us in all ways. The shuttle arrived quickly. Check-in was easy and fast. The rooms are small, but we were not in our room but to sleep and take showers. The beds were comfortable and included extra pillows. The bathroom was spacious enough for me and three children. Breakfast was adequate but I wasn't expecting much for the price we paid. I appreciated how the windows open because I like fresh air in my room. I would stay here again. The Cal Train is only a few blocks away to get into the city.

We decided to pick this hotel because of all the great reviews but were not impressed by it at all. The hotel was very average. The room was clean but the towels and the bedsheets had old stains on it. Every single towel had old stains on it. Please if you can't wash it off, just throw it away. It is very unsanitary for the guests to see towels with stains on it. We brought our own towels so we didn't have to use the dirty towels. The staff were friendly except i think her name was Mary that checked us in. She just wasn't very nice for a job that requires excellent customer service. She kept cutting me off as I was talking and when I asked her questions, she simply said "i will get to that" instead of just answering them.

A great night
Check in was fast and friendly, the clerk even took the time to tell me about the nearby restaurants. My room was a large corner room on the 3rd floor and had everything I could have asked for, small frig, microwave, coffee maker, large comfortable bed, large tv, desk dresser/tv stand, small table to eat at, good quality linen, good quality towels and even had a couch. Yes you could here large trucks at night but you can hear those at any hotel(I can hear trucks at home too). The tv had many channels to choose from , free movie channels too. I brought a bag of pop corn from home and had a movie night. In the morning the continental breakfast was nice with many items to choose from. Parking was easy and on 2 levels main and underground. If I ever need a hotel in the area again the Howard Johnson San Bruno will be my first choice. Stay 2-26-2013
