Only visit if the last room in town!
I am a very experienced traveler but even this hotel through me for a loop! First of all, the first floor is in the basement, which is where I was first assigned. I didn¿¿¿t really get off the elevator all the way before I returned to ask for another floor. My room was in the basement, in a corner in the dark!! Not very welcoming! Now¿¿¿. we all know New York has old buildings with small rooms, but this was ridiculous! These rooms are big enough for one person ONLY¿¿¿.no room to turn around in the bathroom. Television stations were snowy; internet was VERY slow and air conditioner has old mildew smell. There is one lamp in all rooms (I asked for more lighting and was denied). The breakfast consisted of all sugar¿¿¿..pastries, donuts, sugary cereals and Sunny D (passed off as orange juice). In the ¿¿¿dining area¿¿¿ was the laundry stacked up in a corner. Customer service was non-existent. The neighborhood where the hotel is located had a lot of stores, restaurants, and schools. I will NOT be staying there or any other Days Inn again!

Ok hotel for the price paid
Hotel was ok for the Money paid. The hotel was located close to the subway and the area felt safe. The Staff at the hotel was friendly, wifi worked perfectly and breakfast was fine with cereals,toast, bagels and donuts - Not particularly healthy, but we didn't expect anything else, so we were pleasantly surprised with this. Cleanliness was below standard - we stayed 9 night and our room didn't even get vacuumed once in this period of time, and by the looks it never did before we arrived as well. Towels were for some reasons always full of long Black hair? Not very nice. The only cleaning of the room was change of bed-sheets and "clean" towels. Upon arrival i did a bed-bug check, and didn't find anything, but I found socks and dirty underwear lodged between the matress and bedstand and alot of hair and dirt. We spent all of our time in Manhattan, so the cleanliness didn't matter too much for us, as we only slept there, but unless you get a good deal on the Price there are cleaner alternatives. If they raised the cleaning standard, I wouldn't mind stayng at this hotel Again. Room was small and nothing like the Pictures ('I think we got a non-renovated room - very old), but everything worked.
