Great Location
This hotel is a very good value for the price. The lobby is quite posh, although the rooms are rather basic. It is only 2 blocks from the square and is very fairly priced considering it is in Belgium. They charge 29 euros for their breakfast buffet, which I think is very overpriced

Lacks the final touches
We booked a superior room for one night, this was a very basic room at the back of the building, but for the cost it was fine. This hotel has a grand facade and entrance and is excellently located. But our room did not reflect this. The TV was hopeless, when selecting the English option, it froze or would spasmodically played what it chose, I gave up. Our check in was fine but we were met with an aloof attitude and apart from the breakfast option there was nothing else explained. We chose not to exercise any options as they were all a "fund raiser", coffe or tea to make in the room ¿¿¿8 per day, breakfast ¿¿¿30 each and so on, we did need to park our car and this was ¿¿¿25 per night. We did not dine there or drink in the bar as the Grand Place was at the end of the building and there were far more reasonable options. It's location is excellent for the central station and the grand place.

Great stay in perfect location
My husband and I recently stayed at The Royal Windsor Hotel for 3 nights. We travelled by Eurostar and the train from the Midi station to the Central station is included in your ticket. The Royal Windsor hotel is in a fabulous location close to the Grand Place and also the Central station, Metro and Hop on Hop off bus stop. The hotel is very quiet and very clean throughout. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were delighted with our room on the first floor. It was beautifully decorated with a marble bathroom, Tea and Coffee facilities, digital safe, trouser press, minibar, bathrobe and beautiful slippers and a large extremely comfortable double bed. Bliss! The housekeeping department were very helpful. The hotel has it's own parking and meeting facilities. We loved Brussels and we would stay at The Royal Windsor hotel during our next visit to Brussels. It is close to many bars, cafes and restaurants and a you feel very comfortable at night.

Good but not 5 star
Just back from a weeekend at the Royal Windsor. Check in was very quick and all front of house staff were excellent . Room (204) was situated at the back of hotel so no noise which was good. The room itself whilst pleasanr was not up to 5 star standard furnishings seemed a little dated. Bathroom was a good size but quite a small tub. Did not eat in hotel but everywhere was very clean.Location brilliant only 2 mins to Grand Place.Overall a good place for a week end

Not good enough
This was a lastminute trip and booked the room through hotwire.com. Price was around 115 UK pounds which was not bad for a 5-star hotel in the middle of Brussels (others paid around 260 euro (216 UK pounds) a night for an advanced booking.... Car parking is good. Staff is friendly but having stayed in 5-star hotels before this is well below par! I was given a standard room (no surprise here) but one for smokers? Obvious this hotel still 'accommodates' smokers in the hotel..... so make sure you get a non-smoking room. No coffee/tea facilities in the room either. I didn't go for breakfast but apparently was quite costly as well. The hotel is well located for the grand place (de grote market) hence it is relying much of its income on tourists....
