Excellent Stay Once Again
Very polite staff, spotless room and comfortable bed. Bathroom sparkling clean. We have stayed at this hotel for quite a few years and have never been disappointed.The location is perfect being near Penn Station and there are several good restaurants very close. It wouldn't be a trip to the New Yorker if you didn't get breakfast at the Tick Tock Diner. It is attached to the hotel. very good food for a reasonable price. Feel very safe when staying here as security is always present in the lobby checking out people going to the elevators. Every time you see housekeeping in the hallway they go out of their way to speak and are very helpful.

Trip of a lifetime!
Amazing location, very central to much of lower Manhattan. Staff here was amazing, right from the second we checked in with Mohammed who upgraded us to the 38th Floor with unbelievable views of the Empire State Building and gave me a birthday card w/truffles...to the housekeeping and transportation desk! After we got to our room and were completely surprised with the great room we got, Mohammed called our room twice to ensure we were satisfied and if there was anything else he could do! We booked a car to pick us up at Newark airport through the hotel and were super impressed by the hospitable staff...Edwin, John and John Jr.The hotel and rooms were all very clean!Ate at the Tick Tock diner for breakfast 2 days, cute little old fashioned diner and reasonable food/prices.Great location close to subway transit and Penn Station. Madison Square Gardens just kitty-corner to the hotel.Walking Distance to Time Square...about 8-10 blks. Starbucks right across the street and the best pizza ever at Familigia!Macy's and the Empire State Building right up the street a few blocks.Concierge was also helpful in answering questions and booking tickets/etc.This was our first trip to NYC as a girls trip and we couldn't have picked a better hotel to stay at...would definitely recommend and book again for our next trip!

Great Location, Needs a Facelift
Fantastic location, very clean and quiet but is older and could use some TLC in updating the decorating. Staff is friendly, attentive but there are no extra frills. If you have 3 or 4 people, go for a corner suite...well worth it with spectacular views and wrap around balcony.Good value!

Excellent hotel
Nice staff, clean rooms. Beautiful art deco hotel, nice atmosphere. We stayed for five nights. Breakfast bit disappointing. Hotel close to Times Square and penn station. That was great. Would recommend it!
