Could be a lot better!
I booked a triple room B & B as a gift for my sister & neice however I was disappointed about bringing them to this hotel. On Saturday we had to return 3 dirty glasses to the bar also the hotel windows were filthy all around the ground floor, a very bad first impression. Then Sunday morning we queued for 20 mins for breakfast only to find when we got in there was no food. We where brought to a dirty table which was only being cleaned as we were sitting. We had to return 2 cracked glasses. There was no bread, cakes and the fruit was terrible looking. The hot counter was completely empty. So once again we once again queued for breakfast only to see the manager throwing what looked like half cooked food into dirty serving bowls. Needless to say we left without eating. I did get the price of breakfast removed from my bill, however I can not let this level of bad service pass without comment.

Very good hotel especially for a concert or show weekend
I stayed her with my husband for the beyonce concert at the o2 arena. We found the hotel very easily via sat nav and when we arrived we were welcomed by the reception staff. Check in was speedy and informative. Car parking is free for residents until 1pm the following day so very handy. We booked the shuttle to the arena which was 7 euro return each so 14 in total and the bus picked us up at 6.30pm and picked us after the concert we had 20min which was time for the loo and walk out to get the bus. B4 the concert we had dinner in the ajoining restaurant gas works! Enjoyable pub grub cost us 60 euro for two starters two mains and 5 pints so reasonable! Be careful thou chips are frozen! In the o2 its very well laid out bar and toilets are every door entrance 24 euros for 4 pints reasonable and to round it off beyonce was amazing so all round great weekend!!! Ps free wi fi at hotel and breakfast was sweet

Awful Breakfast
I don't normally complain but I have to highlight the awful time we had at breakfast time in this hotel. We arrived at 10am for breakfast to be met with a queue in which we waited for 15-20mins.When we got a table there was no milk or spoons and the table was dirty. There was no bread to make toast, no rashers and the sausages were only half cooked. When we asked for tea we had to wait for 5-10mins and then we has to look for a clean cup. The breakfast bar was a disgrace food thrown everywhere and not any attempt by the staff to clean it. I do acknowledge the staff were totally overwhelmed by the crowd and I sympathised with them. I hold management responsible.... surely they knew the numbers staying in the hotel? This is not 4 star std.

Theatre-Lion King
May day bank holiday weekend trip to see Lion King. The hotel is well placed for the theatre, easy walking distance. The free parking at the hotel is a great bonus and secure. Rooms spacious, clean and modern. We travelled with friends, one tip is ensure get room facing carpark not street. The rooms facing the street have double double glazing but in order to cool room have to open window and then you are disturbed by street noise. Lobby area is comfortable with ample seating to enjoy drinks from the bar. Breakfast is usual fare. The hotel is also within walking distance of aviva stadium. We also walked to temple bar area of city in approximately 20-30minutes and taxi journey home was euro12. Would recommend hotel to anyone going to theatre or indeed Dublin itself especially if want quiet location and free parking. In past have stayed at Gibson and O Callaghan St Stephens green both of which incurr parking charges of approx euro15 per day.

Great, inexpensive hotel in Dublin
I researched many hotels before deciding on the Grand Canal. It is about a 15 minute walk to the center of Dublin. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. We were right on top of the Gasworks Bar and it was a weekend, so we heard the noise from the music at night. It didn't bother me, but it woke up my husband a number of times. It didn't bother us enough to change rooms, though. If noise bothers you, make sure to ask for a room away from the bar. We booked a cab to the airport at the front desk for a set price. The cab driver had the meter running on the way to the airport and it turned out to be less than the price quoted. He charged us the price on the meter but we still gave him the agreed upon price. We will definitely be staying at the Grand Canal if we are ever in Dublin again.
