Very convienient
We stayed for the second time at the Beresford.very convienient hotel for the bus or train station, no hassles for parking, brilliant. Staff helpful, rooms comfy. All three rooms were family rooms, not essential for us but ok. If you don't like noise ask for room higher in the building or at the back as with the bus station just over the road the noise starts at 6am. Also the floors creeked a lot because it is an older building. The breakfast was good value and the evening restuarant was very good value and nice menu.

Not a good hotel for the price...
This hotel was booked for a concert in Dublin.... I feel it was a total rip off and not worth half the price we paid E255 room only for a triple room. There were not three beds but two doubles, there wasn't enough room for three adults and storage was limited. There also was only two sets of towels even though there was clearly three of us staying. The staff were mildly helpful and a bit rude. Upon checking out at 11.35am we were unable to get a cup of tea or coffee as the morning staff were on a break.

Not Overly Impressed
Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 days. We were going to a concert one of the days so we decided to book for an extra day. This is not the first time I stayed in this hotel, i have stayed once before where I had no problems but on this occasion there were several problems id like to point out but also some very good ones... On arrival we were greeted very warmly by the receptionists and given all the information we needed to know. We got to our room on the 3rd floor and found the room was a great size and bed was comfy enough but there was alot of noise from the trains and also a noise that sounded like a fan or a vent which was hard to listen to. Also the bathroom had a window with no frosted glass, don't really fancy people staring in during private time... We considered asking to be moved but we got the room at a good price so we didnt bother. Our first night we went out for dinner and came back for a few drinks in the bar. It was an absolute joke. The bar man hadnt a clue what he was doing and there was clearly a language barrier. I had a look at the cocktail menu and had asked for several different ones but for each one he was missing ingredients (not impressed) and then I asked for a wkd and he asked me what it was, but he also didnt have that so we went elsewhere for a drink because that was just a joke. Finally, we had dinner in the restaurant the night of the concert as we were in a hurry. The restaurant is fab but its a shame about the staff. I work as a waitress in a hotel and I wouldnt dream of serving people the way that we were served that night. I was shocked as i like to be served as i would serve others especially since i am a paying returning customer. The girls that were working were very unfriendly and barely spoke and had very poor manners. I asked could i have a small caesar salad as a started but i was told that was not possible (I dont understand why). My boyfriend ordered a pint bottle of Bulmers and the waitress returned with a Bulmers light (obviously too lazy to go to the bar for the proper one but we sent her over anyway)The food was lovely though and fairly priced just a shame there wasnt enough variety... (would have tipped the chef but not the waitresses)Overall the service wasnt great to be honest and I think the hotel need to look closer at customer service and also hire people with better english...

Great service, rooms and location
I stayed 3 nights at the Beresford in April, and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. My room were pleasant and large, breakfast was good value, staff were very helpful and it was a short walk to the heart of Dublin. Would certainly stay here again!
