Value, location and simple
My travel plans changed last minute and I arrived several hours before the allotted check-in. At first this appeared to cause a problem because the room wasn't ready which didn't bother me as long as I could stow my luggage and stretch my legs. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they worked it so I could have a room earlier than planned - helpful. Other staff I met were also pleasant and obliging. The room was clean, sufficiently spacious and adequately equipped. It wasn't luxurious, perhaps slightly dated but it did the job. So I have no complaints. The breakfast was fine, cereals on the side and hot food to order. Again no problem with this because I wasn't paying a premium price.Some other residents said their sleep was interrupted by noise at night outside, I didn't have that problem but my room was at the rear. This hotel has more of a feel of a large guest house than a hotel which was fine. It was good value and centrally located - not fancy and probably not a choice for a "special" occasion, but for the price was fine for a quick stop.

Handy spot.
This is a lovely little hotel. We stayed in a twin room which was roomy enough with a good sized bathroom. The location is a 5 min walk to Stephens Green and another couple of mins to Grafton Street so lots of shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance. The service was great at the hotel, lovely staff. We had breakfast the next morning in the dining room. There isn't a buffet for hot food but you order from a menu and it's brought to you. We had the full Irish which was spot on.If you book a room here make sure to ask for one at the back of the hotel as across the road from the front is a night club (Copper Face Jacks) which gets very loud, especially at closing time (around 3.30am).

Great location
Thoroughly recommend this hotel, very well situated to walk into central Dublin and reasonably priced rooms. The staff were very helpful, recommend to ask for a room at the back as can get quite noisy at the front of the hotel

Nice old hotel
This is a nice old style hotel. Well furnished and very clean. Staff very helpful. Great location for sightseeing. The only downside is the excessive noise from all the clubs and late pubs in the area.

Great Location, comfortable accomodations.
The location of this hotel is hard to beat! Walking distance to Grafton St., Stephen's Green, Trinity College and more. It is also along a tram route. The room was very clean and comfortable. The parking is necessary! There is a club nearby that is fairly loud, but I only heard music one evening out of two and it wound up by midnight. The price is more than fair for the quality of the accomodation. I would book this hotel again.
