Top notch accommodations!
The Whitney's staff is one if the best I've seen! From check in to check out, everything was perfect. Housekeeping did a great job of servicing my room (even with my 3 kids running around) and the restaurant was awesome. Just a great place to stay with a caring staff!

Whitney Wyndham Hotel, New Orleans, Excellence Their way.
When I visit a hotel, especially for the first time, there are three or four things that will determineif I will be a repeat customer. My order of preference is, cleanliness, courtesy, service, and cost, in that order. I am very happy to say that the Whitney Wyndham, New Orleans, not only met my expectations, but did so exceedingly well. My first trip was business, and all of the meetings and dining took place at the hotel. All of the amenities were perfect. I would be remiss in my review if I did not mention Ms. Michelle Jasper, Sales Manager at the Whitney Wyndham. She is a jewel, brilliant and precious. She made it a point to ensure that each and every need was met. She is a definite asset to the Whitney Wyndham. Thank you Michelle. I havae been back four times, once more on business and the others visits were with family. I have referred many friends and colleagues. They were all pleased. Recommend highly.

Zero security and worn out property
We stayed here for 5 nights over Jazz Fest 2013. There is zero security after mod-night (doors are not locked - no staff in the lobby - wandering night clerk) and the property is very worn out. Too bad as it is a great old building with lots of character. The staff is very nice and professional but they can't make up for management's decision to milk this asset for everything it is worth. We came in each night after mid0night and had to pass very close to odd folks hanging out on a bench in the motor lobby entrance. There was never a security guard or night clerk in the lobby. Doors were wide open. We complained twice and were told each time that there was no security issue and the staff was in place. That's just not the case. NOLA has a big city crime problem and to not provide 24/7 security is a crime waiting to happen.Our room was comfortable but the furniture was heavily worn and haphazardly arranged and decorated. There was a snakes nest of wires next to the bed and we found an electrical box hanging out of the wall behind the bed.One morning we slept in til 11:00 AM and found a note under our door saying we had slept through housekeeping for the day and telling us to call the front desk if we wanted fresh towels. We called the front desk and said this was unacceptable and the room was cleaned and linens changed when we returned at 6:00 PM.Bottom line --- until the parent company puts a few dollars and professional management into this property I'd avoid it. For the money there are much better places to stay in NOLA.

Three letters: WOW!
I stayed here at The Whitney, and as soon as i walked in, i was blown away by the antique decor. I was informed that this was an old bank in the 1800s, and it shows with the Vault and the teller windows. The staff was very prompt and courteous, and I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room. I would definitely stay here again, and I would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat.

Thanks for a great Jazzfest
Back in New Orleans for Jazzfest and had a great time at The Whitney! The staff was great, they remembered us from our previous stays and gave us our favorite room, they are great, got us set up on where to go after the fest and experience New Orleans from a locals point of view. Always a great way to go!!! We will be back again and again.....Love these guys
