Okay
We checked in Friday May 3rd around 7pm and I think the gal behind the counter was not enjoying life. Efficient, but no personality and right to the point. Not a huge deal, but I thought management might like to know that a smile and welcome would have been nice.They are at present doing some basic remodeling. New T.V's and bathroom fixtures and such, but you can tell this is an old hotel. Thin walls and very loud pipes. I wear hearing aids and even with them out, it was loud.That said, the rest of the staff was great. The bartender was very good and we had one meal at the bar and it was also good.If I paid rack rate for this hotel, I would likely be much more critical. But I booked through a third party and paid much less.

GREAT place to stay!
Conveniently located, friendly staff, clean common areas and rooms, rooms nicely appointed, pool, whirlpool and sauna were perfect. Could not have been better. We have stayed at hotels closer to the Mall of America before and this place was actually nicer and more comfortable than some costing twice as much. Helpful hint: book on Priceline.com for an even better price!

Decent MSP Option
I stayed here last weekend as I needed an affordable place to stay while in town to see Fleetwood Mac. The service at the frontdesk, housekeeping and especially at the bar was very friendly and accommodating. They are doing some remodeling so expect some noise around 9 a.m. but other than that, no complaints. A clean, affordable room with friendly service and close to the airport and most things around the twin cities.Tip - The flat screen tvs accept hdmi cords, so you can easily hook your laptop up to watch Netflix or dvds.

No complains
In the past we have used another hotel that offered the Park and Fly option, this time was not available and we decided to go to this Holiday Inn. We are glad we did, because it will be our destination in our future travels from the airport, the hotel is only a couple minutes away. They are in the process of renovation, so it was a bit noisy in the morning the day we checked out, but still not a big problem. The restaurant and bar are conveniently located in the premises, the shuttle service was prompt and every staff member we met was very cordial.

Holiday Inn Eagan
Lovely access to the hotel. Newly renovated. The only problem due to Easter the restaurant was closed. Had to order pizza. Our grandchildren loved the pool. The gym was in good condition. Rooms are cleaned well by the staff.
