Reasonable hotel, not 4 star accomodation
The hotel is located in some quiet back streets in Rome. You can get to it fairly easily using metro and buses (just make sure to get off at the correct stop, and have a map on hand). Even if it is 30-40 minutes out from Rome's attractions, the benefit is that the surroundings are very quiet. There are lots of 1-2 story residences around so your view of Rome is rather unobstructed if you get a high floor room, like we did.That being said, the hotel is not a 4 star hotel, at least not compared to we know in Romania and Spain. Regarding the rooms, they were ok in size, I would say some things are in need of a renovation, as the furniture is getting old. During our 3 night stay, our bathroom was clean and stocked regularly with toiletries.One bad point regarding the rooms is that the walls are very thin and the entire hotel seems built to transmit noise (moving furniture, people voices, etc). We knew about this going in, but I actually did not expect it to be that obvious. Luckily we were tired enough at the end of each day to not care about occasional noises.The breakfast was ok, you get the regular variety of eggs, omelette, ham, salami, cheeses, with lots of pastry, juices tea and milk. We found something to eat every morning, no issues there.We picked this hotel as it fit our budget, included breakfast and the reviews didn't strike us at too bad. If you come to Rome to visit rome, not stay in the hotel room, this will be fine for you.

Good, if you want quiet night life.
Location is far from activities. In a residential area with only a grocery store and over-priced restaurant in the area. Good if you are stopping by for a night's sleep and shower. Breakfast is great and plentiful. Not a big room, but again decent for an economical night's stay.

Bordering sub par...
Overall it as not too terrible but definitely not to the standard of a 4 star hotel. The rooms were alright-ish but very grim, dull and battered. They also gave us a smoking room without even asked if we wanted or minded one. We didnt ask for a replacement though so thats probably my bad. The rooms also didnt have basic 4 star hotel ammenities like an electric kettle, cups, etc. To be fair though the rooms were quite clean. Next rant, the hotel was advertised as located 15 minutes by bus to the Vatican. It was quite further than that. The bus stop was 3-4 min walk away on the main road. We took the bus and had to get the metro from Cornelia which is a quite dodgy looking area. With waiting time and duration of travel it would take a min of 30 min to get to Ottaviano where you get down for the Vatican. Also they offerred transfers to Termini which was the main station for everything but it was ridiculouly expensive!!! It was about 10-15 euros pp I think but im not quite sure. Then theres the service... it was alright but they seemed a bit mean. We had to wait for them to talk to their colleagues before entertaining us, and were just generally not friendly. To be fair to them, they gave us 3 pillows when we asked, and shushed some really noisy kids on the hallway upon calling them twice. Lastly, the food. Meh.. it was alright. They had quite nice bacon hidden in the corner. What else? What else? Hmm.... thats it I think. Its alright but not really 4 or even a quite decent 3 star hotel quality.

Dingy hotel with the most unfriendly rude staff ever.
I stayed at this terrible hotel on the last night of my vacation in Rome. From the rude receptionist who insisted on holding our passports, to the dingy smelly corridors, to the depressing rooms, to the remote obscure part of town that this place is located in, it was a horrible experience. I was glad that I'd booked this place on my way out from Rome, all other hotels I'd stayed in, in capri, sorrento and rome were much much better.

Cheap and do the best
This hotel is not a 4 star hotel but do the best. Large rooms and bathrooms, clean but very-very old style furniture and you cannot decide this is clean or just old.. Location is the only negative things, there are a lot of chances to get walk at the downtown. The 49 bus (end station is Piazza Cavour close to the Vatican) is near the hotel and you can buy a ticket at the hotel reception (one way 1.5 euro) or get a 25 walk to the nearest metro station (Battistini) and go anywhere you want. I think it is worth to buy a daily ticket (6 euro).So the hotel is not best in location but not impossible to discover the city if you stay here. I think this is a 3 star hotel (or lowest), towels changed everyday and the breakfast is ok, but avoid the scrumbled eggs has no spice stb. There are only 5 channel in your hotel TV, not working fridge, no describe how to work the safe and there is no mini bar.If you have a loud italian neighbour, you cannot sleep because the walls is not too thick.But you will enjoy your stay here, just watch your reservation.
