The hallway on the 4th floor was not properly vacuumed and...
The hallway on the 4th floor was not properly vacuumed and looked dirty. I'm aware that they are doing a big renovation but there's no reason for hallways to be dirty.

Good Value
Low average nightly rates ,good service and above-average overall. $5.00 for parking daily but the choice of breakfast was limited(only muffin and danish pastry)for toast,you have to order because there's no self-served toaster on the table.

Good Value for the Money - Be Realistic, Folks!
I had read a variety of reviews about this place and would have described the reviews as "mixed". But, come on, we can't really complain about $5.00 a day for parking in the GTA. It is a great deal. The location is convenient for drivers and really quite quiet, despite the proximity to major highways. Our room had two very comfortable queen beds and the room was quite large - big desk, chair, nice sized TV. I've stayed in 4 and 5 star rooms downtown that were much smaller. The same could be said for the bathroom. Sure the carpets are not spotless and the push buttons in the elevator are stained and ugly. Yes, the lobby furniture is worn and looks dirty,(those pink chairs really need replacing) and the walls have not been painted in awhile, but these are part of the "good deal" on price. The beds were fantastic and the pillows were comfy and fresh (I took off a pillow case to check). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The major problem for me was a general stuffiness indicating the ventilation in the entire hotel needs to be repaired or replaced. This is particularly true in the bathrooms as there is no fan or ventilation. We were lucky, no loud groups or loud couples. ( I once paid almost $300 in a downtown "luxury" hotel and was interrupted by wild laughter and moaning every hour with half hour breaks of quiet. The staff did nothing despite three calls during the night and early morning.) We had a good sleep each night, and I had an uninterrupted nap in the afternoon. All and all good value for the money for those with a car and plans to eat elsewhere.

Wont return
Our reservation wasn't in the system. It was made 5 weeks previous. First room smelled like cigarette smoke so we were moved to second room. It was fine until we needed some heat at 9 pm and 1 hour later were moved to third room of the day because the heater wouldn't work.. When reserved- breakfast was included on arrival breakfast was for a fee And wi-fi didn't work.

Dirty Hotel
I turned the TV, and there were crumbs and a Q-tip...Hallways were dirty...Elevator was dirty...When I made reservations, I was not told that there was a parking fee...Could use a good restaurant.
