Family of 8, arrived few hours before check in time, granted us the room anyways, didn't have to wait at all, that was awesome. Gary, front desk attendant, super nice, very helpful and courteous. Set us up together in 2 rooms, Rooms were very nice, dressing of the beds, real nice, bathroom, showers, were very clean. Air conditioner worked perfectly, hot and cold water worked perfectly. House keeping cleaned our roomed every single day, had fresh clean towels every day. had shampoo, soap, every day, even tho we didn't use tem, because had our own. Checkin was real easy, so was the check out. Pool was great! Pool was big, very clean, warm. They had a laundry for the guest which was not posted on the details when booking, so that was a plus, (washed before we came back) . Over all, It's not a 5 star hotel, but very close, definetly stay there again. :)

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days. When I finally arrived to check in after a 3 hour flight the staff was very friendly. I was already aware of the $4.83 extra charge per night. What I wasn't aware of was the extra $5+ to have a mini fridge and a microwave in the room. My situation needed a mini fridge so I paid the extra $5 a night. My extra up-front cost to stay in this hotel was $50.90, on top of the room rate. That's not the biggest issue I had, either. When we went to our room, up the elevator that barely works, our room was disgusting. Just by a glance it appears to be clean however, after walking around and unpacking our belongings I noticed how dirty my feet had gotten just from that simple task- gross!!!! "You get what you pay for", a phrase I used quite frequently during my stay. The water was so nasty in the hotel room that it was hard for me to brush my teeth without wanting to vomit due to the smell of the water. Showers were no better, I never felt clean or relaxed. My daughter got sick middle of the week so we decided to stay in the hotel and just relax. I coaxed her into going into the "restaurant" thats attached to the hotel. I checked before we went down that they would be open from 7am-2pm. It was about 11:45am. We walk in and the woman who was working told me that she was not serving lunch and they're closing because it is slow. I was shocked!!!! I let it all slide and again stated, "you get what you pay for". However, now that I have been back home for not even a week I have noticed my daughter and myself waking up with insect bites that I have never gotten before my trip. I didn't inspect the mattresses at the hotel but I bet if I did there would be a bed bug infestation. Extermination is not cheap and if I need to I will be sending the bill to the hotel for reimbursement. I am now battling this issue and I am completely disgusted by it. I will never be staying in another Howard Johnson Hotel and definitely never ever staying at this specific hotel. I will make sure to post this review everywhere possible so that no one has to go through the same things I have gone through. Shame on you!

My sister and I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past 6 years. It is a very reasonable place to stay and we like that its next door to the flea market in which we love to pick up wood carvings from Domenic, one of the vendors. The staff are always pleasant. The rooms are clean and it was convenient to be able to print our boarding passes at front desk. The drain in the tub was slow however I just let front desk know when I checked out so maintenance can fix it. This is a safe and clean hotel for the price and we like staying here while in the Orlando area.
