Nice room with a spectecular view
We've stayed at the hotel while having a short winterbreak. By pure luck we'got a room with a seaview and looked straight on the Brigton Pleasure pier. Room was clean and breakfast buffet included offererd a wide choice of breakfast products British as well as continental. We did not use any of the other facillities of the hotel. However the Hotel doesn't has a parkingfascillity on it's own, a large public parking is in walkin distance. .Very nice place to stay for a short break.

Shabby but nice
Myself and a few of my family stayed here for 2 days over the marathon weekend and we all said we thought that the hotel was nice but could do with a bit of an update. To be honest I wasn`t really expecting too much as it wasn`t an expensive hotel so I was pleasantly suprised when we arrived and found we had a lovely clean bedroom with a fourposter bed and a sea-view.The breakfast was lovely and the hotel even made sure it was served early for us on marathon morning. The large lounge was really nice, again it is quite shabby but was nice to get together and have coffee and chat and look at the wonderful views.I would definately stay here again and would recommend it as well.

Needing Some TLC
I stayed here over the bank holiday weekend with my partner. As i work in hospitality i was trying not to be over critical, but it really does need a refurbishment. On arrival the staff were ok. They didnt WOW me and i wouldnt say that they were friendly, but were there to answer any queries. The room was a mile away and it took us forever to find it, and on the way to room, there was old worn out chairs on the landing, old curtains just laying on the floor, there was electrical cupboard doors open, which could be dangerous for children, and the hallway smelt far from fresh. The room was clean, and looked tidy until i opened the wardrobe and there was pillows and blankets just dumped in the bottom. The carpet was dirty and the curtains didnt match. The bed was very conmfortable, and we slept like babies. Overall i was dissapointed. Alhough it was ok for a 1 night stay, I would not choose to stay here again, unless a major refurb was done. However this was in the perfect location for everything that we needed and wanted to do on our short trip.

A Theatre Visit to Brighton
We wanted to see Les Ballet Trockadero de Monte Carlo and the nearest theater we could see them in was Brighton. They are a group of male dancers dressed as ballerinas and dancing female parts but oh so so much more, wonderful dancing comedy and an entrancing evening. We did not want to travel back to Kent so decided to stay overnight. We trawled the net and found the Royal Albion. They did a good deal and was friendly on arrival even though the hotel was a little worn and dated and it was in a great place for the theater we were visiting. The room was clean but cold as the heating was not quite up to the February evening being from a single electric radiator. The bathroom very small but adequate. The breakfast the next morning was a scrum. Very small plates with everyone competing as to how much they could pile up. Some sort of control from the staff would have been an advantage and perhaps less water in the scrambled eggs.

Nice Hotel but in need of a refurb
I love the location of this hotel. It's right on the seafront opposite the pier with the lanes and town centre within close reach. The hotel is ok, however I would love for it to be refurbished. It needs bringing up to date. The sheets are clean the bathroom is clean. The table in our room had scribble from kids on and the door was a bit dodgy - looked like it wasn't closed properly. However the breakfast is nice, lots to choose from.
