We arrived after 2pm for our 3 night stay. The room was not ready for they had double booked our room. The cleaner had to remove a long term guest personal items. I booked this property after I looked on their website. The picture of the spa/bathroom is what enticed me to book. The spa was nothing like the one in the photo, in fact the bathroom was nothing like the one on the websiteParking is a nightmare. There are not enough spots for the number of rooms. The property looks very tired from the outside. There was no phone in our room although the website states that the room has a phoneThe oven is not clean with foil actually embedded on the bottom shelf. The bedroom light and outside light did not workThe laundry is an OH& S issue with puddle of water surrounding both washing machine and dryer. After using the dryer my washing was still wet so I take it the dryer is broken but we were not informed. I had to spend time to find a laundromat to dry my clothesOverall not a great place to stay.The staff are friendly, the WiFi is great to have while on holidays

My partner and I recently spent two weeks in a one-bedroom suite overlooking Brisbane St. and City Park. The furniture, especially the sofa, is a bit tired but the unit was clean and perfect for our needs and a few small items needed for the kitchen were quickly provided by the manager, Renee. Staff were always friendly and helpful and the free wifi worked well in this unit. We didn¿¿¿t notice traffic noise but people walking home from the pubs and clubs tended to be noisy, and neighbouring guests were often annoying when they staged gabfests outside of their rooms. All in all, a pleasant experience and we are going back for a short stay soon.

Stayed here for two weeks. It's in an ideal situation. Opposite a beautiful park, has nice views from the front units, and 5 minutes walk from town. Renee, the manager, was really friendly. She doesn't belong here. She should be in a more up-market place. The building is over 40 years old and has not been kept up to date. We had a one bedroom unit in the front. Nice balcony and the unit was really warm, probaby because of the solid brick internal walls. Carpet was stained. Even though it had a kitchen, there was not enough utensils to cook a meal. The stove was an old solid plate type. The oven was white inside, don't think the cleaning spray had been wiped off. Bed was comfortable with new linen. Bathroom had been done up. The couch was old and the dining table had an un-ironed tablecloth over it. Under that, the table was old, dark stained and scratched. Flat screen TV. Parking is a nightmare unless you park on the busy road. But if we parked there we had to walk up four floors. Would we stay there again?? Definitely not! There is more reasonably priced and newer places close by.

My family stayed at North Lodge recently. The front of house staff member was very friendly and helpful however I was disappointed with the quality of the property. From not being able to park our car in the assigned parking because the parking space was quite small to the what seemed like hundreds of stairs to climb nothing was what we expected. The bunks in the loungeroom were not great quality and everytime my son turned over they squeaked and rattled with might. My older son didn't feel safe sleeping on the top bunk so the mattress had to be brought to the floor. My daughter was to sleep on the sofa bed but as there was no linen (which we didn't discover wasn't there until later in the night) she simply slept on the sofa which was really not suitable (good thing she is small). The bathroom and the kitchen have quality fittings although the shower screen could have done to be a bit bigger and the crockery and cutlery in the kitchen are not great standard or even enough. (3 bowls for a 5 person room just doesn't cut it). Also the cleaning staff need a good shake up. Under the sofa bed we found an earring, some nail polish and a lighter. In the bedroom 2 chocolate santas under the curtains and beside the bed. All in all not what we expected for the price and I am sure that there are better rooms for similar money in other hotels.Note : the back stairs are downright dangerous at night with next to no lighting.

I would not reccommend this accomodation as it was very old and tired looking from the outside even though they had painted inside it had a damp and musty smell to the apartment the lounge very old and uncomfortable there was no spare blankets which were needed as the size of the heater for the room was not big enough and it was very noisy. The fridge was not turned on and the cutlery and utensils were very poor.If you dont get parking on your apartments level you may have to walk up stairs or a very steep driveway.
