Good Location but Very Outdated
Excellent location but the hotel looks very very tired. I arrived early in the morning and counter staff was not friendly at all. Staff was grumpy and obviously not happy to see me. Stayed there couple of days and same thing happend on my departure, counter staff was not happy and again grumpy. How do you point that out to a staff? Hmmm... figure that one out... I Didn't like this hotel. Night shift staff should take a happy pill.

Clean, comfortable, location perfect!
Did a road trip from Melbourne to Sydney, needed a place to crash for one night. I thought the hotel fulfilled all my requirements - no flashy hotel reception... which is given for the value! Parking is offsite at another hotel (Hotel Mercure) @ $48 which is acceptable! Beds were normal! Location was the best thing! Would stay again :)

Basic Hotel but clean and affordable to non-Australians
Decent hotel in good location in Sydney. Stayed here due to location and cost, which is a no frill hotel but does the job. Room was a decent size with usual room amenities, bathroom small with window looking into a shaft. Stayed here for 3 nights and was just somewhere to sleep as we were sightseeing most of the day and out at night in restaurants and bars. Bed was comfortable as well.We were truly grateful hotel granted our early check-in (8am) as our flight from UK landed early in Sydney. Hotel booked our shuttle bus to the airport, which was straightforward and hassle free.We recommend the cafe that the hotel recommends for breakfast across the road, they do a mean bacon and egg roll and lovely coffee :o)

Room with No View
I stayed at Leisure Inn because I wanted to be close to my daughter and son-in-law who were renting an apartment in the Chippendale area of Sydney. It was close and clean, but I desperately wanted some natural light of any kind. Upon opening the curtain to the room I realized I was looking at what seemed to be a cement duct leading up to the roof of the hotel. Weird, unexpected and cleverly concealed. I have never stayed in a hotel that had false windows, and I would say that my room was more of a bunker than a visitor hotel room. I also did not like that I was charged a surcharge for using a credit card (I booked through the internet and those details may have been there, but, surprise, written in tiny scrypt?! I don't know. Leisure Inn charges for Wifi and does not include breakfast, but instead directs you to a cafe across the street (is it owned by the chain?). I could have done so much better for my money than this hotel in Sydney.

dated, but gets the job done
nothing fancy over here at the Leisure Inn Sydney, but that's definitely not what they're going for. this place is affordable and comfortable with a decent location. rooms are dated, but again for the price it's hard to beat within the Sydney CBD.we opted for the Family Room as it was much larger and offered 2 queen sized beds along with a single bed. bathroom was very large and overall the room was clean. the hotel is within the CBD, but some of the main attractions are a bit of a hike. luckily there is plenty of public transportation around. located right near the UTS campus and Central Station. if you're on a budget and wanting to stay in the city then give this place a shot. if you have some extra funds to spend then i would opt for something more central and nicer.
