Do not look further you have found the right place!
I traveled to Khao Lak with my mum in early June to look at locations for my wedding in Khao Lak next year, we were lucky enough to stay in Ramada. Were to start, the food is the best thai food I have had in a really long time and we are frequent eaters at thai restaurants in Sydney (at lest once a fortnight) you must try the green mango salad with crispy prawns and the deep fried chicken with kaffir lime leaves!!! The drinks are great as well great Mai Thai and Mojitos! The pool is beautiful and so is the beach which is a stone throw from the pool! I got the chance to look at all the rooms and Id have to say they are all as amazing as each other, we stayed in the simplest room which had two double beds a very comfortable bed and we were able to pick what pillow we wanted, just a small luxury when your away from home but one you really enjoy having! But all this is only just a small part of what makes Ramada so special, what makes Ramada unmissable is the staff, each staff from the gardeners and cleaners to the staff at reception always have a smile and greet you as you walk by the staff by the pool come right up to you to get you not one but two pool towels and set them up for you on the pool chairs, another lovely sign was when the cleaner would come around 6pm to provide you with anything you needed ie water etc and also to leave some thai biscuits something so simple but brings a smile to your face when you come back into your room! I can honestly not recommend this hotel enough and want to make special mention to Jee, Sunny, Jead and Jittama as well as all the rest of the staff I can not fault any of the staff or any part of the hotel and I hope to see you all soon, thank you for making my stay such a memorable one!

Nice Hotel but not sure what others are raving about
We stayed in a Deluxe Jacuzzi room and the room was nice with a sea glimpse... what I didn't like about the room was how dark is was... very much like a cave. The floor is tiled black the only lights in the room (other than the bathroom) are a small desk lamp, two bed side tables with black lamp shades an entrance light and a strange neon blue lighting stripe across one corner of the ceiling. The room also has very dark tinted windows, so it is impossible to read a book/magazine or do anything in the room that requires any form of luminescence. Other than that the hotel was fine,restaurants were adequate (although most of the staff seemed a bit grumpy). The only other disappointment was the beach I was expecting a long beach for morning and evening walks but the beach whilst clean is only about 150 meters long, there is a lagoon entrance at one end and a break-wall at the other.

accommodation very nice grounds well kept with a large grass area kids pool and large infinity pool staff very helpful although they need to improve on English speaking countrieslocation very quiet about 1 hour from Phuket airport northern direction right on the beach although there are no water sports as this property is Eco friendlyTransport by private van very well keptgood shopping at local markets and lots of tailors available food great and cheap this would be a good venue for families

I stayed in a basic room and it was great. Plenty of room and very modern. service we received the entire stay was amazing. Buffet breakfast was incredible. Excellent value especially for the price. Not in the greatest location but a few scooters and it's all you'll need.

No. 1 in Khao Lak and no wonder why!
There are many good reasons why Trip Advisor clients have voted this the No.1 resort in Khao Lak.The reception started everything off on a very pleasant welcoming basis, headed by Sun who apart from speaking excellent English will look after your every requirement. One of the many benefits that Ramada holds over many other resorts in this area is its location. There are a number of beach front eating places next to the resort providing a good range of well prepared foods.For those wanting something more established there are a number of excellent restaurants nearby, headed by the recently opened Amici Italian premise, only 4 mins walk outside the main entrance.Whilst we were on a 'Getaway' package, we were able to upgrade to a Villa Pool unit. The additional cost was well and truly justified if one of these units are available.As all the other reviews mention, the breakfast buffet is very comprehensive and will cater for all tastesExcellent service and support from all the staff made this a most enjoyable weeks stay for my wife and I
