Excellent Service, Monster Hotel
I recently stayed for 3 nights at the Hyatt Regency Dongguan and must say I was very happy with the hotel. I stayed there as I was on a sourcing trip, and it was a good central point to get to all my meetings. The hotel rooms were very large and comfortable, the only downside for me was I couldn't get a non-smoking room and the payment system on checkout is quite complicated. For some reason they don't just take a holding amount from your card, they actually charge you on check-in and then you pay the remainder on checkout. The facilities looked great, good Gym, great Spa, lovely grounds with a view of the lake. There are a couple of pools, the indoor one was open, outdoor was still shut. Overall this hotel reminded me of the big American conference hotels you get in Florida, absolutely immense but very comfortable with great service. If you do stay there though you need to resign yourself to the fact you will be staying on-site, as there is nothing close by, certainly not in walking distance.

The rooms at this property are great. They are large, well done, electronically sound. My main issue was the food offered. That could be in any hotel in the region but I could barely eat most of the food.

Best hotel in Dongguan
We have been coming to Dongguan, for business, for the past 15 years. At the advise & guidance of our Chinese supplier, we always stayed at another hotel. This trip we made the move to the Hyatt & will only be staying here in the future. There is NO other hotel to stay in Dongguan. Every gloomy day I spent there, the hotel was my reprieve. Service is superb. Thank you, Ken, Arnold, Bernice, beryl & Celine - all in the Club Lounge. The gym & pool areas are lovely. The rooms are large & comfortable. We stayed in an ungraded lake, club room, with a balcony. The hotel is extremely large. Has a very expensive steak house & two Chinese restaurants.

best in guandong province
defiantly one of the best hotels in mainland ,western friendly...most of the staff speaks englishand understand the western people needs.the service is excellent...we had a problem in the room so we were upgraded to the suite ..in standard of chine the breakfast is very good and there is enough western food although the first morning we came at around 9:00 some of the things were missing and they didn't feel it .the second morning we came very early and there was much more things to choose from .my biggest suggestion is when coming through dongguan train station is to order a car from the hotel...do not take a taxi ..most of them in the station are "black taxi" a car will cost you 150rmb

Probably the best hotel in the region
Spent 2 nights in hotel as part of Chinese/hong kong trip. Excellent and spacious rooms, with allFacilities. Restaurant spaciously set out with water theme design to enhance the hotels location. Hotel is huge with extensive reception area and landing corridors. Dongguang city station is 45 minutes by taxi or the local nightlife so be prepared. Hotel bar is on level below reception and is not well signed we needed a guide to direct us, but the ambience an nightly duet was well worth it.Without doubt it is the best hotel in the region and worth using despite the lack of centrality.
