We usually stay in Intercontinental Bali but decided to give Westin a try since 1 of our family memeber higly recommended it. The moment we stepped in we realised that we have made a mistake choosing this hotel. To begin with, our lugagges was left in the middle of the big lobby unattended.We arrived at the hotel at about 230pm and was told that we could not check until 3pm. At 3pm, we were told that our room is still not available and needed another 15 mins. At 315pm, the room was still not ready and we only managed to check in at about 345pm. This was our 4th visit to Bali and for the last 3 stays with Intercontinental, check in was done in the sofa area where the staff was waiting with a big smile accompany with welcome drinks and towels. All 3 times we were able to check in upon arrvial.Breakfast was far from 5 Star. Imagine when you are told that the Orange juice is not fresh and comes from bottle.Less than 40% of the staff greeted us at any time with most of them turning their heads away when they see you. Most of the time it was the security guard manning the front that welcome you with a big smileOverall this was the most disappointing stay I ever had in Bali.

My family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers have just returned from a fantastic 10 night stay at the beautiful westin resort. We stayed in a family suite which was more than comfortable, rooms a generous size and the bathrooms was new and modern - if you had small children though i think the layout of the two rooms and adjoining family room could be annoying - it was fine for us with two teenagers gave us all our own space. Our room was on the 3rd floor and i think a ground floor room would have been better for easy access to the pool etc. The balcony is tiny and ill be honest i think we stood out there once. The breakfast was fantastic - catered for everyone with a huge array of juice and smoothie choices, 2 egg stations, fresh fruit etc etc ( even yummy icecream to go with pancakes and waffles!) one of the best we have seen .The resort was quite busy at the end of our stay with several conferences but this didn't impact on us at all - even breakfast seemed to go very smoothly although the resort was full ! The pool and surroundings are stunning. The pool is quite deep but has 3 sets of long steps to sit on and a ledge the whole way around the edge of the pool to stand on. The water is clear and a great temperature. Beautiful pool, pool lounges, shade, and fantastic waiting staff to assist with all your food and drink requirements. The beach is beautiful, and clean as is the sea with lots of pool lounges available. Even though the resort was busy we didnt have any trouble finding four pool lounges together ! There are bikes to hire to ride along the front pathway ( which we did a couple of times and its a great ride with some lovely beaches) and table tennis to play. My husband used the gym a couple of times and said it was great. We dined at Ikan on the beachfront a couple of times and it was great food, as was the Indian served at the Verandah.The resort is very clean and tidy always someone sweeping leaves etc up , and the food and beverage staff are friendly and provide great service - always someone around the pool to take your order ( very different to other 5 star resorts we have stayed in around asia !) . It is a beautiful resort with great friendly staff , and we enjoyed our stay. We were pleased we stayed in nusa dua this time - we went into kuta a few times ( probably a 30-40 minute drive as traffic is slow with the new roads being built) and to be honest it was great to come back and sit on the beach at the westin and not constantly be bothered by vendors and it really is such a clean beach compared to kuta. Only two minor negatives , one being the prepaid wifi only allowed for 3 devices ( we are a family of 4!) and the price of cocktails at $15 each was a little steep. Overall the westin is a great resort( one of he best we have stayed in ) and we forward to returning again in the near future .

Our stay at the Westin from the 22nd April to the 2nd of May was pure bliss! From the second we stepped out of our car, we were treated like celebrities. It was my partner and I's first stay at the Westin, and his first overseas trip and we will definitely be back! We checked in easily, were given an ice cold cloth and a drink and escorted to our room. Our Deluxe Garden View room was lovely. Long and narrow, but fit in everything well and we didn't feel crowded at all. The bathroom is lovely, the shower and bath are in a 'wet' section together which we thought was a great idea. My only note would be that I never had a HOT shower. The shower was mildly warm at best but due to the air conditioning I would often get cold and really wish for a hot hot shower. Pressure was good though and spacious enough for two :)Bed was super comfortable, slept so well every night. The Resort itself is so beautiful we were pinching ourselves the whole time. The pools are wonderful. Before my trip, I noticed a lot of reviewers noted the large freshwater pool was too deep (2.0 metres). I am 1.6m tall and I actually really enjoyed it. It was large enough and deep enough to feel like you were swimming in a tropical lagoon, plenty of room to enjoy your own space. There is a smaller, shallower salt water pool and a separate kids pool. There is also a slide which runs into the freshwater pool, shallow enough for kids but big enough for bigger kids (ie. my partner). The pool bar is really nice. There isn't many seats at it, however the drinks are good and the staff always so lovely to talk to. They weren't uptight about glass in the pool (when we swam around carefully with our drinks) and they always seemed happy.I will leave separate reviews for the resteraunts at the resort because I don't want to make this an essay.The staff are what really made this trip special for us. From the start they are nothing but friendly, helpful, efficient and always caring. Prior to our trip, I arranged a "Dream Dinner" on the beach for my partner and I. The food and beverage manager Mr Wayan Muka emailed me personally, and I told him it was a surprise for my partner for our anniversary. On the night of the dinner, I lead my partner to the beach and to our beautiful dream bed, lit softly with candles for our 5 course meal. During the meal, Wayan came to meet us, wished us a lovely dinner and surprised us after dessert with a Happy Anniversary cake. I had not even requested it! Once we returned to our room, there was a beautiful vase of flowers with a Happy Anniversary Card signed by multiple staff with a lovely message inside. We were stunned! The service is incredible. All staff, even across the hallway will smile and greet you kindly, go out of their way to assist you in any way and all are more than happy to have a chat.We also were helped with booking day activities around Bali with the Destination Experience team. It was booked, charged to our room and organised- all we had to do was show up! So easy.Breakfast buffet was fantastic, nothing less than what I expected. The food variety and quality is excellent. However, every morning was a mad house. We soon learnt which times were less crowded. The cafe is not enclosed and has fans,however I noticed every morning how hot it was. Hotter than outside with the combination of hot food being cooked etc. Nothing that made the experience any less than wonderful however.We tried the spa on our second last day, we both had massages- which were wonderful and the experience was relaxing and luxurious. I found the bed slightly hard however. Due to renovations there was construction noise during our massage, but we were advised of this in advance and despite minimal disruption we received a discount due to the extra noise.I really cannot recommend this resort enough. My partner was floored by how wonderful it is. I have stayed at Ayana in Jimbaran previously, and both are in league of their own- excellence. We are not seasoned trav

Thorougly great experience, that is why we keep coming back to this amazing hotel. The food, the staff, the spa, the grounds of the hotel, the rooms, activities, etc, are simply the best you can get. We will be returning next year without a doubt. Read my other reviews on this hotel to get a more in depth review. Well done again Westin Nusa Dua for making our stay the best!

My husband and I stayed at the Westin Nusa Dua for a week and loved every second. The resorts cleanliness is incredible and all the staff are so polite and professional they couldn't do enough for you. All the restaurants food was amazing as was room service. The breakfast buffet was great and resort facilities including the gym were fantastic. I wish we didn't have to leave will definitely recommend this to all my friends and family, hopefully we will be back again soon!
