I booked this hotel through Priceline. This was my first time traveling to SoCal so I wasn't sure about the location or hotel. I went with my teen son, a toddler and my husband. We all loved this hotel because it was clean, beds were comfy, AC worked, no signs of bed bugs, and free breakfast. The receptionist was very friendly, polite and hospitable. We were there for 8 days and I have no complaints. My kids enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi in the back. I fell in love with the area and the marina is across the street. You can walk to the beach and its about a 25 min drive to LA. I have gone back once, and plan to again.

We were pleasantly surprised by the superior customer service we received during our stay. The entire front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast area was busy every morning, but staff did a great job restocking items and refreshing coffee stations. Housekeeping staff are very friendly, always greeting you with a smile. Rooms were a little outdated but very clean and smelt fresh. We'll be back next year for sure!!

This was our 5th time staying at this hotel. We stayed her each time we have been to Los Angeles for its convenience and friendly hotel service and clean rooms. This time, the rooms weren't as clean, the staff were not friendly. We were placed in a room outside the house keeping cupboard and the ice and vending machine, it made for a very noisy room. We missed out on most foods at breakfast as they had run out. We choose not to stay here on our return back to LA

I needed a pet friendly hotel the front desk let me choose my room she offered me two choices per my request, both rooms were clean and had no odors from pets. The room had comfortable furniture and very nice decor. Breakfast in the morning had lots of choices a good way to start your day. The location allows you to walk to nice restaurants so close to the harbor the air is refreshing a great place to stay for business or pleasure.

We have stayed at least four separate times at this property and had been so enthusiastic about its operation that it was our go-to place when we visited Los Angeles. This last stay has changed our minds. New staff has replaced the very experienced, professional staff that ran a top-rate motel. The new staff are friendly but either they have been told by the manager to relax the rules or chose to do so themselves. Like many motels, the back door is supposed to be closed at night after 7 p.m. and you have to open it with your room key. We have to assume security is the reason. Yet, the door was open every time we returned in the evening around 10 or 11 p.m. One morning there was a random room id in the breakfast room because the apologetic clerk said they had experienced people from the homeless shelter up the street trying to get a free breakfast. Then why leave the door closest to the shelter open? We are light sleepers. Last year the front desk recommended a room facing the pool because the door was secured at 10 p.m. and we should not expect any noise from that area. It worked and so we asked for the same location this year. On checking in, we reconfirmed that the pool area was closed at 10 p.m. But, this wasn't so. We had to call almost every night of our stay because apparently the door was not secured and there was lots of noise when we were trying to get to sleep. One young desk clerk said she had been there seven months and no one had given her a key to lock the door to the pool area. The motel also felt like it needed refreshing and updating. Spots on the carpet, the room didn't feel very clean, the mattresses getting tired.Too bad. We likely will find another place to stay next time we go to LA.
