One night of LA glamour
We were on a mini-tour of LA/California and NYC, so could only stay here for one night, which so happened to coincide with the Grammy Awards. A little OTT perhaps but it certainly has ambience in abundance. The pool area is great and the rooms are a good size. Overall we loved the experience of staying here and, taking all things into consideration, was possibly the best hotel we stayed at on our trip.

could become addictive
perfection for LA, a little worn out at the edges- i can only imagine how the hotel (with the pool scene and bar) must have been when it first opened. stayed in a junior suite overlooking the pool, absolutely loved the location and the vibe. could become addictive, we are already thinking about next time. only complaint is the breakfast: 2 coffees and 2 croissants - $20+tax - no kidding.

Love this hotel - service was excellent, pool is great with amazing views, Sky Bar is a great place to have a pre drink and Asia
Looked at so many different boutique hotels and have stayed at a few others previously - however this is honesty one the best mid sized hotels. If you want something unique that offers personalized service this is for you. Concierge was very helpful and went above and beyond!West Hollywood is a great place to stay as you are perfectly located to explore the vast sprawl of LA. Asia De Cuba is a great restaurant within the hotel and across the road is Katana which is one of my favorite restaurants. The hotel is a little pricey, but the rooms are equipped with Malin and Goetz products, huge beds, siting area, large wardrobes ad views of downtown. I guess you pay for what you get and this is worth it.

Botique all the way ! LA experience
Already hesitant to stay based on reviews I had read, we entered the hotel and noticed right away the trendy decor, and fun chairs. We were turned away at first due to our early arrival, so we just went out and enjoyed the sky bar, and poolside for a bit. Then we attempted to check in again, our room was still not ready, so the desk manager promptly upgraded us to a suite with a fantastic view of the Hollywood hills and provided a complimentary brunch. Note -- If you are a party person, get a room with a balcony which is on the side of the Skybar. But also has incredible views of LA. Otherwise, the hotel is quiet on the hills side. The poolside and skybar (which is actually on the first floor of the hotel, but on a cliff with a skyview of LA) are small but well done, bustling with acitivity and a constant party. The service we received was accomadating and appreciated. We will likely stay again.

Great service--super friendly staff
I recently went on a 4 night trip with my 11 year old daughter and we stayed at the Mondrian. The staff was excellent. So helpful, cheerful and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy guests. We had a delicious dinner, compliments of the Mondrian as well as a complimentary breakfast. The food was delicious and again, the staff welcoming and so accommodating. My daughter has a peanut/nut allergy and the waiter went above and beyond to assure me that her meal was peanut/tree nut free. The location of the hotel is also very convenient to many delicious restaurants. I will definitely be staying at Mondrian again on my next L.A. trip!
