Good "plus" for business travelers
I was on a 0700 morning flight so need to stay over an airport hotel. This hotel is 15-20 mins away from International Terminal, not as near as you would like for an airport hotel. Other than that, everything else is good. Check-in/out is very fast. Staff is friendly and helpful, wifi is speedy, shuttle was on time. This is one nice hotel especially for business travelers that expect everything to be efficient.

Not a good hotel
There's not much to say about this place. The airport shuttle is slow (we heard some people complain about 1 hour wait times), the rooms were barely adequate, the A/C turns on intermittently during the night (I love it when the staff ask me if I know how to use the thermostat), and the bedspread didn't look all that clean, not to mention the hairs that were in the bathtub. The place deserves it's reputation and I would not book there again if I had the choice. (I didn't book these rooms)

All really good!!
Great location, on water, pedestrian bridge for 10 min walk to downtown Burlingame for shopping, restaurants! Nice clean rooms, comfy beds and outstanding front desk agent named Dina! Made it all such a great business trip! 10 min ride via hotel shuttle to SFO!

Struggling to get to 'average'
I was part of the same conference as desmeister, and I agree with his review in most respects.I had to wait well more than a half hour for the airport shuttle, despite it being on a once/half hour schedule. I sure got to see a lot of other hotel brands go by, many more than once...My arrival was uneventful but I certainly did not feel especially welcomed. My walk down the hall to my room could be described as 'drab, dreary hotel standard.' The room itself met those same standards. While the room was nominally clean, I discovered some human expectorant on the inside of the shower curtain during my morning shower. I made sure to stay clear of that, and requested a replacement that morning; the replacement arrived toward evening.My company hosted several meals at the hotel during this conference, and the hotel failed to overcome 'institutional' on any occasion.Overall, I would recommend against Crowne Plaza.

Very average and noisy
Business stay so only couple of nights, was more than enough! Hotel is old style, bar and kitchen are so so and the rooms are noisy, also constant traffic. Next time I'll take the Hyatt which is nearby and much more luxurious and nice bar.
