Avoid if possible
The room doors are right next to each other. When someone enters the room next door it sounds like they are coming in your room. The heat & a/c don't work very well in the rooms. You are right next to the runways and hear the planes. The food is expensive, but decent tasting.

Solid In all Aspects!
Is this an awesome state of the art hotel: No... Does it fit the biz travelers' needs.... Absolutely.... Internet, clean rooms... The staff is very helpful.... Couldn't find anything to complain about.... Solid but not spectacular... You're staying at a holiday inn.... it's hard to go wrong!The restaurant on site is a bit pricy... but it's next to an airport and it's on Long Island.... Stay here for the service.... They won't let you down!

Good business hotel
Stayed here on a business trip. Easy access from I-495, clean property, good parking, large common areas for meetings. Having a restaurant is a plus. Excellent service all around - at front desk, restaurant, room service etc. Definitely recommended.

It's an airport Holiday Inn...
OK, so the hotel I wanted was booked, so I went with this hotel instead. Nothing bad, but it could use an update or two. Rugs are well worn, heat did not really work, bath a bit dingy. Had a room with two double beds for me, wife & teenage son on a college visit. Room was OK sized, beds were clean, towels were plentiful, and the TV worked. Plus a small fridge and a makeup/shaving mirror outside the bathroom, which was key because the bathroom was SERIOUSLY small! We checked in late & were sent to the back section of the hotel. Very dark, only other vehicle appeared to have been abandoned a while ago. This is a VERY LARGE Holiday Inn, so it was kind of spooky, but hey it was also very quiet! (Until morning, since you are right next to the airport, literally.) We received a complimentary beverage with our rewards membership checkin, so wife & I went to have a drink. Did I mention that this was an airport Holiday Inn? It was Friday night, the bar was packed full of middle-aged businessmen, and there was an awful band that everyone seemed to LOVE playing real loud 70's covers. (Glad to be in the back of the hotel, where the band could not be heard.) If this sounds like your kind of scene, you may just love this place! Breakfast was not included. Cold buffet was $7, full buffet $13, or you can sit & order from the menu, which we did. Pancakes & eggs & bacon were worth the wait & the price. Coffee was terrible, but I'm a bit fussy here. Front staff were pleasant & professional, especially considering how busy they seemed to be. We would stay here again if in the area.

Best Service and staff ever encountered
The Holiday inn in Ronkonkoma,Long Island, NY.Has the most helping professional staff I have encountered.Right from the beginning at check in you know it will be a great experience, the Manager Joy was so helpfull and polite. She went out of her way to see you were comfortable.The entire staff here seems to be so service oriented.
