Return visit just as good!
Only 4 months between visits this time but still a great location and reasonably priced place to stay in Sydney. We used the" thank you for staying with us discount" offer you get when you complete a customer survey to book this accommodation and it made for a cheapish one night stay. We were upgraded to a "harbour view" room on arrival-considering all rooms get a view of the harbour I'm not sure what the upgrade means exactly but 4th floor was a good location to get great views even compared to 7th floor last visit. The apartment layout was identical to the previous visit but it appeared to have been recently refurbished and painted. Used the washer and dryer in the partment but discovered the washer spin cycle chosen didn't get our clothes as wrung out as we needed to get then adequately dry in the time we had available for using the dryer.Really great to be able to use the foyer internet facility for free. Reception staff very helpful and cheerful. Took home a souvenir stress ball offering from the front desk!

A good family base for Sydney City exploring
We as a family of 4 wanted an affordable location close to the city - we got a great deal at Metro Darling Harbour.The steps entering could be a problem for older/less able travellers, but we managed fine, and enjoyed the close proximity to Darling Harbour and public transport. Overall pretty good value for money and front desk staff very helpful and nice.

front desk people were OK, but the hotel never gave me the reply
After sitting the seat of the airplane going back to Japan, I realized that I might have left my iPod in the hotel room. So right after I arrived in Japan, I sent email to the hotel to check my room if there was the iPod. I expected the reply that they found it or not. But I have never received the reply for more than one month, as of today. Harbour Views
Fantastic Location!!!! From our room it took about one minute to walk to Darling Harbor. I was travelling with two kids who are quite lazy and i knew they would not be up for walking every where. But we used the mono rail to get around and they had a blast. We went into town did shopping a few days and Powerhouse Museum, Wax Museum,Paddy's Markets, Maritime Museum, Jet Boats and Sydney Eye. Metro Apartment were central to all these locations and kids did not complain once. The view from our room was to die for. Thanks for a fantastic first weekend away for over 20yrs. Will defiantly be back.

My favorite hotel in Sydney.
Stephen, the General Manager is wonderful. So friendly and accommodating. I stay once every year for 4 weeks or so. My room is always immaculate and the house keeping staff are friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money. I must mention the delightful young gentlemen at reception. They work so hard and make every effort to accommodate me. A job well done. I have been staying at the Metro since 2008.
