Surprisingly Good!
The other reviews about this hotel were not particularly glowing but I needed a hotel close to the airport because of an early flight and having to stay in Shanghai just overnight.I arrived from the airport via taxi around midnight and checkin was swift.The first pleasant surprise was the quality of the room, it looked much more expensive than what I paid for it and had big windows looking out onto a canal.The bathroom was clean and tidy with lots of towels. The room itself had a huge bed AND a chaise longue!Sadly, I had only one night as I wouldn't have minded staying a few more nights.Good value.

Not Bad, could be better.....yes with caution
Most of the taxi drivers could not find the hotel easily. It is somewhat hidden from plain view. It is located next to an exellent seafood restaurant. The DLD stands for DuoLaDuo. If one would inform the taxi of the DOLADUO KTV they probably know to find it. The staff was helpful and helped us with finding routes ect. Not included is the Breakfast and the "free" shuttle to the airport, though we should not complain about it. Breakfast was 18RMB (OK selection) and Shuttle was 20 RMB/person. If you like to take the taxi, it would cost about 50 to 60 RMB to Pudong airport. Good clean rooms and bathrooms, though the water pressure was not much at the 6th floor. Not close from the MTR (12RMB by taxi and RMB by electric rickshaw).

Convenient for airport but that's about it
We chose this hotel because we were going to be arriving VERY late at Shanghai airport and there would be no public transport. A taxi there was about 70 RMB (taking into account the night tax). Room was OK, bathroom quite small but acceptable. Breakfast was very noisy (TV on full volume with staff glued to it) and too Chinese; although they advertise Western breakfast it wasn't really up to par - for example there was dry oatmeal but you had to make your own porridge with it.The nearest subway station to the Pudong DLD airport hotel is a station which is on Line 2 about 600m from the hotel - you could walk if you don't have too much luggage or take a short taxi ride. From there it's about five stops to get to the airport, or you can go in the opposite direction and easily get into the centre of Shanghai (East or West Nanjing Road stations for example) without having to change.

Excellent Service & Quality Room
My wife, daughter and I needed a stopover hotel to enable us to join a tour group early the next morning. We booked this hotel through Hotels.ca.Upon arriving at Pudong Int'l Airport, we called the hotel and within 15 minutes, the hotel courtesy van was at the airport to meet us. The courtesy van service is also available to take us to the airport without any charge. This service is available 24 hours.We stayed only one night but found the hotel staff, from the van driver, door man to the receptionists to be very courteous and helpful. When I needed to heat some leftover dinner at 4 am, the receptionists were helpful to allow me to use their staff microwave oven.The receptionists spoke good English.One big advantage is the very close proximity of a very good quality Chinese seafood restaurant and the busy commercial streets.We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with this hotel and will definitely stay there when we next visit Shanghai.
